One bathroom was done to maximize space and create a beautiful accessible handicapped bath and the other was created to be a comfortable guest bath. Their planning was impeccable and every detail was completed to perfection. It was a pleasure to work with them throughout the project and enjoyed the whole process! Debbie and Janice are friendly, professional and so creative! I love my new kitchen and the baths are so lovely while being very practical. I highly recommend Janice and Debbie to help you create the perfect project - what ever you're thinking of!! They also bring you delicious cookies!!

We originally went to Renaissance Stone to examine the possibility of changing our kitchen…read morecountertops. We remodeled ten years ago and installed Soapstone countertops and after ten years of maintenance, we were tired of the look of the stone as it looked stained and worn. Harriett in the front office was surprised as she loved her Soapstone tops in her kitchen. After some discussions with both her and Tia we decided on having the counters cleaned and sealed by them. Larry showed up at our home ready to work. After stripping the stone and cleaning he then applied a special stone sealer that returned our counters to their original look and beauty. We could not be happier with the finish. We are happy to give them a solid Five Star Rating. Trust the experts! Thank you.

We originally found them because another stone place had given us an unacceptably high quote and we looked around for alternatives. Renaissance Stone is a family-run business and we have found them great to work with. The cost for custom countertops incl. installation is very reasonable, especially if you go with remnants, and execution and installation have always been impeccable. Looking forward to our next project.

I had been searching for local furniture stores and though I often use Yelp, I finally went…read moreelsewhere to find one. Low and behold, I read about Seavey's in Portsmouth (with parking!) which apparently is in a new location. It is a light-filled factory building space but not overwhelming. It is set up so you want to walk around and try things out. Much of the furniture brings you back to the 50's. Some pieces are works of art! But many were beautiful but affordable. And made in this country! And it is locally owned! Which is what I wanted. Michael the owner is friendly and informed. And no pressure. He spent a lot of time with us trying to choose pieces for our limited space. We have swatches at home now to make decisions and look forward to returning to work with him. Maybe the categories on Yelp need to be switched up with furniture stores at the top so you don't miss going here first.

Seavey's has great (free!) delivery, and every time we visit there are a ton of new items. All modern/mid-century, and from different brands. You can't go wrong with a visit or purchase. They are a local business that we want to and will continue to support.

We hired Coastal Prefinished flooring for a bathroom tile job and bedroom wall to wall carpeting…read more Tile job was a disaster. The guy the owner sent showed up intermittently. He gave excuses. The owner did not have a clue and never followed up. When we complained, the owner expected us to deal with and manage his worker. Awful. The tile job was awful. The owner had the tile guy "fix" the job, but it came out mediocre. The tile installer was unprofessional and hardly showed up and we simply had to get the job done so we accepted the final crappy job. The owner did not look at or review the job once. We learned that the installer never installed an underpayment under the flooring per the work order. He installed directly over linoleum. We have no idea how long the flooring will hold up snd the owner provided 0 guarantees. It was too late once we learned what happened. He's awful. Please stay away from this business. For the carpet install, we have no complaints with the installer. The owner installed a crappy underlayment pad. It was worse than our original pad. We are very disappointed. He gave us 0 choices. I only gave a 2 star rating because the carpet installer is very good and he happens to work for a crappy owner. I would stay away from this business.

He came over with samples, made suggestions and we said Yes! We had new blinds and cornish done for our first floor and just Wow! What a total upgrade. Sure they are expensive but the finish on the cornish and blinds are outstanding! We also had him add room darkening shades in our bedroom and man, thdd ex quality of sleep is noticeable. We have six really big wide 6 foot windows and added the top cornish plus two 3 foot wide normal windows and the entire job came in close to $5 grand. But the finished product added at least twice that to the value of our home. I usually don't spend anything like this but bayside blinds added such a great look to our home. Dave was pretty chill and such a nice guy and would not take final payment until the job was 100% completed. Can't recommend him enough.
