They have a very innovative appointment system and the staff is friendly and competent. They have a very superior patient portal to access vitals, results, and book appointments. They also text you appointment confirmations. I typically do not have to wait too long in the waiting room for our appointments. Doctors are knowledgeable, but know sometimes it feels as if you are being rushed. They see a lot of kids, and like to stick a schedule. Sometimes I have to stop the doctors and really have them listen to my concerns and push them to get them to fully understand vs. sticking to the textbook. I have had to drop a doctor in the practice and pick another one up, due to not having a chemistry with them. The good thing is you can pick and choose your doctors since there are so many in each location.

Instead of listening, she repeatedly responded as though I were demanding medication even if the tests were negative. She would not listen when I tried to clarify what I was actually asking. The entire interaction was extremely frustrating and unpleasant. How can someone this unprofessional be allowed to care for pediatric patients? She did not even understand the names of my child's medications, repeatedly talked over me, and ignored what I was trying to explain as the patient's parent. She then walked out visibly irritated and proceeded to speak disrespectfully about me to another nurse loudly enough for both my child and me to hear through the open door. I looked online on both Yelp and the clinic website and this location is listed as open until 9pm and available for walkins. It was 7 pm when I looked this up, so I felt I had plenty of time and wasn't going to be one of those butthole customers that show up 5 minutes before closing. We drove 20 minutes in the opposite direction of the er only to see a tiny piece of paper on the door saying "we are closed" another saying "X-ray broken" and another saying "at full capacity" (even though they were closed and there wasn't a car in sight.) It's 2023. Update your website with your hours. There's even an option to indicate it's temporary so patients don't get confused. Don't put "accepts walk ins" in your business plan if you can't take new customers - as indicated by one of many pieces of paper on your glass door. While this thankfully was not an emergency, I indicate that it's 20 minutes in the opposite direction of the er only to illustrate how frustrating it is to drive 40 minutes round trip for nothing. When an up to date online presence would tell any stressed, overwhelmed parent they should just head straight to the er and that 40 minutes could be put toward the long er wait times. I finish this post with a question. If this office can not figure out something as simple as the internet, are they really reliable enough to help you in an urgent situation with your children?

From the moment we arrived, the team acted with urgency, professionalism, and compassion. Cherrel, who arrived with the ambulance and her partner, ensured my daughter was transported safely and remained attentive throughout the process. Kendall, my daughter Ja'lyn's nurse, provided attentive and reassuring care, keeping me informed and making sure she was stable and comfortable. I also want to recognize Jacob, who stepped in and took initiative to assist with Ja'lyn's check when he noticed it was due, even while Kendall was occupied. That level of awareness and teamwork did not go unnoticed. Dr. Melnikoff demonstrated professionalism and thoroughness in evaluating and treating my daughter. I truly appreciated him going above and beyond by following up with my daughter's cardiologist to ensure they were aligned and on the same page regarding her care. That level of coordination meant a great deal to me. I also want to acknowledge the rest of the supporting nursing staff, who worked collaboratively to ensure everything was handled efficiently. Due to their swift response and coordinated care, my daughter received the attention she needed during a very concerning situation involving low oxygen levels and low blood pressure. They lied to me when I asked upon a return to the hospital th 2nd time to check my sons white blood count before discharging us. This is the reason we were sent back to childrens hospital- my son had an asthma attack + bacterial pneumonia + they did not check his white blood count before discharging us the 1st time. We were rushed out. Within 2 days my son was sent back. His pediatrician took one look at him at the hospital follow up + knew his white blood count was not good. Sure enough- it had already been high when we first went to the ER- 19000 but Tuesday it was 23000. This is medical negligence + poor care for young children. Shame on you! When I requested to double check - again they wanted to send us home too soon- they refused + claimed he was anemic. 2 days later we had another follow up with his pediatrician + he honestly told us my son was actually NOT anemic- his hemoglobin was over 13. I've been anemic many times + I know it's under 11. So no I don't plan to ever come back to this location when drs so carelessly put young children's lives at risk. This is lazy + malpractice. Do not lie to the parents. I seriously hope the hospital manager sees this review bc this behavior is extremely serious + poor care for children. This is a children's hospital + I was shocked by the poor treatment my son received by the other respiratory therapists. Jennifer O needs to train all of them how she handles young kids bc she was the only one who was kind to my son. Another pinned my son to the bed. I will have a lot to process after both our stays + I don't plan to ever return.
