However not 100% pleased with the Dr. She seems to be easily offended when asked questions and blames every sickness on the "weather".Very old school approach and not willing to give out referrals or do further testing unless you make multiple visits. He was beginning to show slight signs of jaundice and she came in to recommend supplementing with formula until we got that under control... HOWEVER, her delivery of the information was no less than absolutely traumatizing! As first time parents, my husband and I were completely new to this and she spoke to me as if I was intentionally harming and-or starving our child - not pausing or letting up when I was very clearly choking back extreme, whole-body sobs. Our own pediatrician has since relieved us of any guilt and clarified that our son wasn't even close to being a concern for jaundice. I fully believe we supplemented too soon. This experience changed my breastfeeding journey, as my son began to prefer the ease of the bottle and grew extremely fussy and lazy on the breast. I will remember Dr. Smith for the rest of my life, and not in a good way.
