Finally a pediatrician that opens on Saturdays. They open every other Saturday. I found it to be so convenient. Most places only work on the weekdays and a lot of parents can't afford to make the appointment. Sunflower is located on the 2nd floor. You'll have to take the elevator. This place was clean. Your greeted by the friendliest receptionist. The waiting room is small but its full of toys for the kids. They play kids shows on Netflix and not those cheesy dvds on repeat. Dr. Borieux was great. She treated our kids like her own and I thought she was very thorough with our well being exam. Hallway is bright and we didn't really have to wait long. The exam room was clean and painted differently in each room. She definitely listens and gives good advice. I like how it's small and personal. I feel like with a few more visits, she would be someone you want to get to know. My kids responded to her with ease. I think I made a right choice making her our PCP. You have the normal forms but since I'm in the NG.NEG Hospital system, paperwork was quick. ER staff is kind, soft touch as are the doctors. Clean- since its all new, but all staff at both locations are caring, get you in and out, and don't look like they don't want to be there. But she was fishing in my veins, which is not allowed that is not a good thing to do. That is very bad. Not sanitary at all. I'm not even a nurse, but I was in nursing school and even I know not to do something like that. So why is a professional doing something that's discouraged. She did it on both arms before going to get the doctor. She could tell I was traumatized because I was sobbing, shaking and hyperventilating. When the doctor came in I said I want to go home I'm not doing any more of this. NOT TO MENTION she literally said "no one's veins are working today" I think there's a common denominator and that common denominator is her. I tried to add photos but apparently blood isn't allowed on here. Yes. Blood was dripping down my arm. But no blood in the vials! She needs to be fired immediately.

Arriving early doesn't help either, as we're made to wait or even turned away. What's worse is not being told in advance that our child will be seen by a nurse practitioner instead of the doctor. That kind of information should be shared upfront. Overall, the lack of flexibility and empathy makes this a very difficult place for parents. There is a tv with a fun movie usually playing for the children. The wait time is normal. I usually wait 10 minutes in the patient room before we see the doctor. Not too long. The office is clean, up to date and I love how the patient rooms have windows, so you can see outside! Dr. Waters builds a relationship with you and your children. She remembers who you are when you come. We usually make it into the office about 2-3 times a year. One is for our well visit.
