The woman behind the counter was rude, and just awful to us. I will no longer be supporting this business because of its discrimination against those who can't wear a mask. Boycott this business for it's discrimination against mask exempt patrons.

Sweet Paradise = part Italian grocery store/bakery! Complete with a hot/prepared food section…read more I wasn't sure about this place 'cause there weren't that many reviews and the existing ones are dated, but totally 5*! I got 3 bakery items: Tiramisu, Sicilian Cannoli, & a Peanut butter/Chocolate Cheesecake and all 3 of them were super fresh! Tiramisu was like homemade! Light and fluffy, not overly sweet. And I was able to taste the coffee liquor. Marscapone/cheese filling was LEGIT, not that cheap, canned whipping cream! Cannoli shell was still crispy. Again, filling was nice, light, and not too sweet. Pb/Choco Cheesecake was a bit richer, but still moist and not dried out from the fridge. Gf got a Cream Horn (flaky pastry shell) and she said it was nice and fresh as well. I usually avoid this pastry like the plague because it's usually stale AF. I'd *definitely* go back especially for the tiramisu (which not many ppl get right) and the cannoli!!!

They have local delivery, contactless pick up , and easy online shopping. From the beginning they have implemented measures to keep staff and customers as safe as possible. There are now markers outside on where to stand socially distanced apart while you wait to shop. I so appreciate the limited number of customers in the store (usually 1-3), required staff and customers mask wearing, as well as hand sanitizer in several locations. Usually the door is open as well letting fresh air in and circulation going. The store selection and supply has been able to keep up with the demand, which also means supporting local farmers, brewers, restaurants, bakeries, sweets makers and sorts of artisan goodies they supply. We couldn't be luckier to have a place like Dundurn Market to rely on during the pandemic. Thanks to the whole staff and suppliers for your hard work and delicious food! They have a great selection of local brews, wines, flowers, ice creams, frozen meats and fish, produce - you name it! Bicycle delivery available too. I have especially loved getting to purchase goods from other local businesses like Grit & Grain, Fairweather brews, Collective Arts brewing, Sweet & Simple (chocolates and sweets) and Berkeley North (yum fresh pasta, sauces and breads!) I've even been lucky enough to find Donut Monster donuts at times which really helps me limit the number of places I would have to go or order from to to get all those products - especially the alcohol. We are big fans of the food, pastries, groceries, sustainable packaging, service and community commitment. Thanks again!!

Yes they're salty, and yes they are peanuts... but that makes them more affordable than, say, cashews!
