I live with and care for my father who is 80 y/o as I write this, and Dr. Salmon is his physician…read more(he's a family doctor). At 80, you go to the Dr. every couple of months, and I always go in with my dad, because I am usually the one describing symptoms, asking questions or keeping track of any treatment. Dr. Salmon always takes his time, listens well and his treatment has kept Dad in as good of health as we could expect for his age and conditions. He is quiet, dignified, kind. At one point a friend gave my dad a gift of consultation and treatment from a holistic healer in Ozark, because his gout was so bad and Dad's allergic to the gout medicine Salmon prescribed. After 3 weeks under this woman's care he was weak as a kitten, curled up in his chair very nearly unresponsive, and I thought he was literally dying. No exaggeration, I was scared to death. I called Salmons office, he was back to me in 20 minutes and told me to get rid of that crap she had him on and the diet too. He said" you let him eat whatever the hell he wants - watch the salt". Dad perked up that day, improved steadily. Hmm, not sure if this is so much a review for Salmon as an indictment of a certain lady holistic healer in Ozark, lol.

I am not from the Branson area, so to create conversation, I asked if she was from here. She was quick to answer, "Yes, born and raised, but I don't live here, I live in Texas. I come here once a month, but have no intention on staying here.". Wow. I don't know, I've been to plenty of physicians in my time, but this doctor has the worst bed side manner I've ever experienced. She is young, so perhaps she shouldn't be judged to critically. I just think she should stay in El Paso TX if she doesn't like coming to work in Branson, because her patients in Branson surely shouldn't have to experience the brunt of her attitude.

For now, I just want Cox to know that these are some of the best doctors they have. Compassionate, caring, highly intelligent, professional, and they go above and beyond each time that I have been there. Thank you so much. Everyone on the nursing team is absolutely outstanding as well. I have seen many doctors that are very good, but these are the ones that stand out in my care within having so many professionals in my family that are MD's, or nurses. I pray everyone gets the care they need at Cox Branson. Nobody deserves to suffer.

They force to sign monetary compensation agreement so they can charge you anything they decide to charge. I saw a specialist doctor and paid the normal increased fee then you would when you visit your normal doctor; which is the norm and understandable. But for greedy Cox Health that wasn't enough money so they charge an extra $215 because the doctor was a specialist. They call it a facility fee. It's similar to being charge extra for going to an emergency room or urgent care. I totally understand why the last two places need to charge more because they're opened many hours without any kind of appointment. But really more & then even more to see a specialist. I guess Cox Health wants to kick you even when you're already down & out!
