I went to the emergency room on June 22, 2021 after a horrible accident I was involved in. I was told I broke my back and crushed my ribs. have been trying to find an internal medicine doctor after the accident that would follow up on existing issues and have had a difficult time doing so. On July 16, 2021 I discovered Doctor Reed Glick in Forsyth MO at which time I went to his office and filled out an application to see if he would take me as a patient. I followed up on July 12, 2021 to see if I was accepted and told be Office Manager Beth that the doctor had my file but no decision was made at that time. On July 14, my wife called Doctor Glicks office and spoke with Beth. She said she came in late because of personal problems. Beth also stated I was approved to be a patient on July 13, 2021 but she had to deal with her personal problems and made a not to call me the following day. Beth told my wife she could schedule an appointment on Monday July 19th at which time my wife asked for something sooner because I needed medical attention right away. Beth asked her if July 15th at 11 a.m. would work and my wife said yes. When we showed up for our scheduled appointment I asked the the lady if her name was Beth? I proceeded to thank her for helping me when she interrupted me and loudly accused me of missing my appointment the prior day and the doctors policy is to cancel any further contact with the patient. My wife told her she specifically wrote down the day and time of our appointment and we never missed anything. I also asked Beth why would we get dressed up and bring our medication to their office at the specific time my wife wrote it down. Keep in mind, Beth still did not know who I was (or did she) because she had messed up scheduling and did not want to admit it. However, she continued to yell at us and tell us to get out of the office or she would call the police. As we were exiting the office she yelled "take your business down the road and don't ever come back". Amazing that she is the office Manager. Obviously, she can not keep her personal problems away from her professional responsibility. I'm going to also report this incident to the Medical Review Board! read more
