We drove 1800 miles from Reno, NV into Branson, MO for a summer vacation. Somewhere along the way we picked up a nail in the sidewall so there is no patching- No reputable tire shop should recommend that a patch be installed on a sidewall puncture. And this shop appropriately and politely informed me that no repair was possible. My vehicle is an all wheel drive SUV. Tire shops should always recommend replacing all 4 tires because mismatched tire brand, tread design, tread depth, have the potential to damage your all wheel drive system. Their first suggestion was the proper one, to change all 4 tires. Being on vacation we didn't want to spend that much on the only set of tires that they had available. I guess they first perceived that we maybe were unable to pay for an entire set and offered to order the same brand to replace the one tire and advised me to replace the other 3 when we got back to Reno. I still didn't want to run the 1800+ miles with unmatched tire tread depths. I convinced the manager that I was ok with an inexpensive tire set that I could just use to make it back to Reno. His only hesitance was because he was genuinely concerned about quality work and the reputation of his shop. He ordered the agreed upon tire set, and had it expedited to the shop so that we could get them installed the next day. They didn't even require that we prepay for the special order. I not only recommend this shop, but I commend them on their dedication to quality and the needs of the customer and just good old pride and doing what they feel is right for the customer. I went into have a lower ball joint inspected. They told me that I needed a left outer tie rod end…read more Lower control arm and two front stunts. Those did need repair. Lower control arm was done by them in February and they gave me grief that that was under warranty. When it was time to go up in the alignment rack they told be they couldn't to it because the inner and outer tie rods were "seized" stuck and they couldn't do it without replacing the passenger inner and outer tie rod. I asked them how far it was out. After I asked them how far it was out, they had no answers and they pulled it on the rack. The toe was out on the side they did the tie rod and lower control arm work. Why were they trying to adjust this rod ends on the passenger side if they didn't even have it on the rack in the first place. After it was on the rack it didn't need any adjustments on that side at all. I will be calling the owner then look at options with the courts. Total fraud. They prey on people they think that are just on vacation. I live here. Please dont let them try to scam you like they did me!

I called and they had the used part in stock for a very fair price and the labor cost less than the dog treats I picked up during the short wait in their store. I've never had a shop put on a tire in less time and the building is clean and comfortable; the lady working the counter and the mechanic seemed like kind, genuine people. I will always call them first after today, and would suggest that anyone in the area in need of tires do the same.

After about an hour, they let me know that my car was ready. I went back to the counter and paid, and asked if anything was wrong with one of my tires. She said, nope they all looked great, and the sensor had most likely gone off due the the changing temperature each day. I left feeling happy with the service I had been provided. 2 days later, when I arrived at work, I had a completely flat tire. One of my co workers was kind enough to remove it and replace it with my spare tire. It had a huge nail in it. I was able to drive to A place called Star Lube when I got off of work, and they quickly patched it for me, and stated that they had no idea how anyone could have missed that. There is a sitting area there, btw.
