Upon entry into the simple and cozy lobby, Tom greeted me immediately with a smile. Check-in was quick and easy. He was very friendly and amicable. Thank you for the warm welcome and great service! This relaxed resort has multiple buildings. There are external stairs, but no elevators. Free self-parking. Seasonal outdoor pool, year-round hot tubs, fitness center, basketball & tennis courts, and game room are primary amenities available for guest use only. We had a one bedroom unit plus a pull down murphy bed in the living room. Room was clean and organized. Carpet was a bit dark and could use a wash. Kitchen was small, but fully equipped with kitchen essentials and dishwashing detergents. Bathroom had complimentary bottles of shampoo, body wash, hand soap, and lotion for our use. Always nice to have a washer and dryer in the unit. There was a fireplace. Small patio with table and chairs. Overlook from the patio was of vibrant green trees... not much of a view. This will be our only visit at this resort since we don't live nearby. We only added this stay as part of our trip because we were in MO. Grateful to have stayed here. I got to check off one more WM resort on my WM resort adventures list. Highly recommend for anyone who loves vacationing in MO. Enjoy your WM stay! This was alarming and completely unacceptable. We immediately contacted the help desk around 11:30 p.m. to report the issue. Unfortunately, we were told there was nothing they could do at that time and that a manager would be emailed. No alternative accommodations, inspection, or immediate assistance was offered. Because of this, we felt we had no choice but to cut our trip short. We were staying with family and friends and had activities planned for another full day, all of which had to be canceled. This was especially frustrating and disappointing right before Christmas. A situation like this should be handled with urgency and care. The lack of response and support only made an already stressful situation worse. We expected much better from a resort of this reputation.

It's nice being on a quieter part of the lake too, and the view from here is nice. If anything came up, management was all over it. For example, the coffee machine wasn't working well, and they had us a brand new one in 30 min. When the Internet went out, they brought someone out that same day to fix it! The customer service was excellent! We rented a pontoon there - great experience! And they have so many activities and amenities included for all ages. For example, a free ice cream party by the pool- complete with a clown that did balloon animals. We were definitely not bored. Perfect for families. Definitely recommend! Great place to stay!! The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. We enjoyed evenings on the balcony overlooking the pool area and stream. This is not the closest thing to the strip but not that far either. I found a barbecue place just minutes away called Danna's which is very hometown and where the locals go, but a definite Branson must! We enjoyed the in-room two person hotel tub and the spaciousness of the larger room. We found there was normally someone waiting when the elevator door opened and that could be a challenge for the in season time. The staff was very helpful and even kept a guitar for us so we could check out and still enjoy a morning music show before heading back home to the STL metro area. I would go 5* but not a huge vacation crowd fan and this place will be jammed in season. So go in the less popular times and enjoy a very high quality stay!

I will start with the positives: - Staff....polite, friendly, helpful - Facilities... not bad! They had a pool, a couple hot tubs, and several fire pit areas available to reserve, down a a sleepy little creek. Ideal for kids to play, or to just relax. The place is far enough off the beaten path to be fairly peaceful and quiet. Lotsa green space to walk our dogs. Bugs didn't seem to be a problem, even being this close to woods and water. - A coffee and booze bar in the lobby. - Live music on two evenings. Now, the bad stuff: - the room. I've stayed in better Motel 6s. Not a room we wanted to hang out and relax in. The single queen room was extra small.... No space for luggage or to hang some clothes. Concrete floor that looks like it may have used to be covered but it was ripped up and replaced with a throw run that was barely bigger than the bed. The blinds didn't quite cover the window so you were guaranteed glare coming into the room, and to be greeted by the dawns early light. The room had a fridge that worked, but no coffee maker. The air conditioner worked well, but was noisy. No decor besides a couple small, random, oddly placed items on the wall. Water temperature and pressure in the shower were ok. - The free continental breakfast wasn't much. Cereal, some packaged muffins and danish that weren't very good. Some overripe bananas. Some weak coffee. - Weak wifi. Our room was in the center of the complex and we got one to two bars at best, and frequently lost the signal. We ended up having to use the hotspot on our phones. What makes it worse is that the TV also ran off the WiFi, and we lost signal. Bottom line..... if I had a better idea of what I was getting into I may have stayed elsewhere. Great surroundings but a disappointing room. Not sure we will return.

This year they told us we are not able to stay and removed our standing reservation with no heads up to us. We have always been great customers, paid on time and brought our families. This year they changed it and now we have to tell our kids and family we will not be able to have this family experience. They had no remorse nor good customer service after over 9 years of us all coming there.

A huge private dock with swim deck. It's older but is super clean and has had updates. The owners Melissa and Tommy are super people, both friendly and accommodating. Loved their chocolate lab Gracie. So sweet. She loved playing fetch with her tennis ball and I didn't have to leave my comfy chair on the deck. We had everything we needed in the kitchen. Satellite tv (tho who needs tv when you are staying on the lake?!) Comfy bed, couch and chair. Nice towels. Warm days had us sunning on the deck and fishing and nights we stayed warm by the 10 man hot tub and a bonfire. It was very old, but we enjoyed the rustic feel of the place. We loved our view of the lake from our front porch and enjoyed the tree near by. The small playground was wonderful to have for our little ones to play on when we weren't in the water, and the pool was perfect temp with a slide. For some reason, pools with slides are just so much better! The docks provided were SO useful and close to our cabin. If anything, I would definitely change the name from "Resort" to "Schooner Creek Cabins" or "..Cabins on the Lake" or something else, because Resort makes you think of a nicer more updated place: nicer amenities, cleaner pool, etc. Our shower head sounded like a rocket and shot out so violently like it was going to kill you. The mini ovens also worked poorly and cooked our food quite slowly. The banister around the front porch was the most concerning...it was not up to code and its opening were too far apart, my 18 month old could easily fit through its bars and if I wasn't looking, he could've easily fallen right through. Luckily, after we told them (even though they didn't believe us), they willingly put up some protection around the entire banister so we didn't have to worry about, however, they really need to put up a legal banister ASAP, even around the pool. Overall, it was a fun experience, but now we know what to expect when we return!

Our oldest boy on the way home said, "That was the best weekend of my life." We did some of the Branson fun attractions but mostly stayed at the cabin resort. We rented one of the fishing boats and the pontoon boat while we were there and the owners made sure both boats were ready to go with everything we needed. The owners drove around the property throughout our stay to make sure all guests were accommodated and to make sure everyone was having a good time. Our cabin also had a charcoal grill with it and it came with a bag of charcoal and lighter fluid which was super awesome because we forgot the charcoal! One of the best parts of this cabin resort is the pool area which had a whole game area too so we enjoyed this after a long day on the boat. We loved playing shuffle board.
