Mouse droppings in the dish rack and in the cabinet under the sink. Cleanliness was a major concern during our visit.
    Julie B.

We stayed in a 3 bedroom cabin in July on a Tuesday-Friday with 5 adults and 3 kids. First impressions were great - the resort was quiet, front desk staff was friendly, and the playground and pool were popular with our kids and well maintained. Unfortunately, throughout our stay we were disappointed with cleanliness many times and the Resort Manager's response to our concerns will ensure we stay with one of the many other comparable resorts in the future. Upon arrival there was mouse poop in dish rack and in the cabinet under the sink. There was also dirty underwear on side of washer in plain sight, as well as noticeable dust on many surfaces, including dressers and the tv console. The sheets on the master bed were too small and came off multiple times each night. When we notified the staff of this the replacement sheets they brought and left on the table were also small. What was most disappointing about this is that on top of our nightly fee, we (and all guests) paid an additional $80 cleaning fee for the initial clean - no housekeeping not was provided during our stay. In addition to cleanliness issues, there were several maintenance issues that arose, such as the door knob on the washing machine closet being broken and a kitchen chair being so loose it was not able to be used. At nearly $300/night, we were expecting higher quality given our experience at comparable resorts in the area. When these concerns were communicated to the Resort Manager, her replies were dismissive and placed the blame on us for not reporting concerns earlier in our stay. She offered to replace our sheets but did not address any other concerns and refused to refund the cleaning fee. Our experience will cause us to look at other resorts in the future, as there are many in the area with comparable (or better) amenities in the same price range who provide a cleaner environment and communicate a much higher value for their guests.

You check in at the main building which had several nice features plus a great lobby with a computer, coffee selection and a fire pit/fireplace outside to enjoy. After being given our rooms we discovered we were right above the pool in building 7 which was a bit loud for us. We called the guest services who graciously moved us a few rooms to allow for a quieter experience which we greatly appreciated! It didn't take long at all and we could then get situated. The room has a nice round balcony with a table and chairs on which we could enjoy a meal and the view of the lake. It is also amazing how many birds you hear throughout the day! We lived that aspect. The elevators all access paths and rooms so they are handicapped accessible which is so helpful (visiting with an elderly relative who doesn't do stairs well). The grounds seem to be well tended with lots of fun amenities like a playground, tennis courts and lake access. We took a bit of a walk and enjoyed a bench down by the lake. Our room was well kept and had a gas fireplace which we thoroughly enjoyed on a rainy day. We also live that we can cook and eat in or go out. I love how firm and comfy the beds are, as well as how many extras they provide like towels, blankets, shampoos etc. We read a few reviews prior to coming that said the WiFi was horrid, but we had no trouble and my husband was even able to work remotely most of the time. It is a secure network as well which is super helpful. Not sure if it was our unit or building but it worked wonderfully for us. We have greatly appreciated our stay and love the care the staff takes with our questions. We recommend this spot for an out of the way stay!

We do this some years but it's hard to get exact dates since it's booked so far in advance by points owners. We loved it so much we bought one of the few condos that are privately owned onsite to be able to use full time in retirement. We've been going here for over 20 years and there is always something new or cherished to do! You can't go wrong in this area which is 20-30 minutes from all the tourist attractions in Branson. Close enough to be convenient and far enough away to enjoy a quiet lake stay.

The "waterfalls" have no natural river or water source connected to them, and in several places you can literally see exposed pipes feeding the water features. The cave and rock structures also appear heavily manufactured. In some areas, you can look underneath the rocks and plainly see man-made construction materials, including exposed particle board. I don't necessarily object to themed or artificial attractions when they're presented honestly. What bothered me was the misleading presentation. The tour tries to create the impression of a natural Ozarks landscape experience, but once you notice the construction details, it starts to feel more like a theme park set than a scenic nature tour. For the price charged, I expected authenticity and transparency. Instead, the experience felt staged and deceptive. I spoke with an employee about it afterwards, and he acknowledged it was fake and suggested I go elsewhere if I wanted to see real tock formations & waterfalls. I don't think I'll follow his advice, but I won't be coming back here.
