They seem to really move through customers without making you feel rushed. They're also not trying to convince you to do every exam to charge extra. Last year I got my eyes dialated, and this year I did not need to. I didn't want to but was glad to hear my doctor recommend holding off for another year herself! Makes you feel like they care, at least a little bit. Overall the staff is friendly and helpful. Did not find/have problems. They are relatively easy to set an appointment with (online or by phone). I say this is one of my better eye appointment experiences without feeling like I've wasted a whole day!

From looking at my online status, it appears that my glasses were ordered a week after my eye exam. MyEyeDr re-ordered my tinted lenses, which also kept being delayed. As of today, I have still not received them. I also received no updates from MyEyeDr. I had to either call or go into the store for updates. In the meantime, I ordered another pair of glasses and lenses online, and received numerous updates from the online store. The glasses from the online store arrived in 10 days and were much less expensive and of equal or better quality. I would not buy glasses from MyEyeDr again, but I would see their optometrist.

The only con is I live in Charlottesville, and find getting out there for a contaxts lens exam (40 min roundtrip on just the driving) with a follow up to check the contacts (again, another 4p just on the drive) is too much for a busy mom and business owner. And, i got my eyes dilated, and after 2 years of being a patient they HAD to sign a new waiver that said exaxtly what the old thjng said - payment due, right to privacy - but with dilated eyes you couldnt read anything. After repeating this 3 times to the receptionist she read it it to me (which took 10 min). It could have waited. That was Michelle - she needs a course in the customer experience. The 5 star is for everyone else. I had to schedule up a 10 min follow up appointment for the contact lens check up, and its 2 weeks our or 3 weeks. Thats just frustrating. My eyes are healthy. Just give me my dang contacts. ****update****When i expressed my discontent with the wait time as a long time client, they squeezed me in before a plane trip, which is cool. I spoke with Kelly in the reception who helped make that happen - that woman is a good addition to the office.

They were on top of insurance info and not pushy when I was selecting the perfectly weird "me" frames. From start to finish this was a great experience. The office is extremely clean and the entire staff was COVID conscious, wearing masks for the entire process. A staff member was out sick so I spent most of my visit with the doc. He is extremely nice and friendly. Also funny and witty with his dad jokes. I never felt rushed and he took a genuine interest in my eyes. He explained everything before we started so I was aware of what I would be experiencing. He made it clear we could stop at any point if I needed to. I felt he was extremely professional and answered all of my questions. He explained all the results of my tests. It made me feel better about the process once I understood some of my eye issues. Thank you to everyone at Horizon Family Eye Care. You made this new resident feel welcome and at home. I will be back for all of my eye care needs.

At the 90th minute I found this office and made an appointment before I left Charlottesville for the summer. The office was super accommodating and helpful throughout my process. What really made this place deserve 5 stars is what happened almost a year after. I was in Mexico City for some time and realized I could take advantage of the cheap prescription sunglasses there. With only a few days left, I called the office back in the states to get my prescription. Eventually the phone was picked up and I was told that they are not in the location I had my exam at and asked if I can wait until the next day. Since I couldn't, they had someone stop by the office to take a picture of my prescription to send it to me. This isn't something every office would do for you and for that I am forever grateful. Highly recommended.

When cataract surgery was prescribed to correct vision in both eyes, I was hesitant. Dr. Page thoroughly explained the procedure and lens options. Her staff was extremely helpful in setting up the surgery dates, follow-up appointments, and even provided a referral for transportation to and from the surgery site. The surgery was easier than expected and the result an absolute miracle. Driving at night is now a pleasure as well as no longer needing to wear glasses!
