The store seemed very old school and upon chatting with Kevin, one of the owners, I learned the business has been in his family since the 70's. WOW! He showed me his photo wall of memories and it was really interesting to see all of the generations that once ran the store. He also told me about the devastating effects Hurricane Sandy had on the store and the long rebuilding process. I walked in with the intention of getting water (since I felt a little dehydrated from the day's long bike journey) yet somehow my ADHD thoughts decided a giant can of Fosters beer and a King Cone was a much better idea. The combo actually seemed amazing and I was looking forward to it.. however I dropped the bag from biking to my next destination. When I went to pick up the ice cream.. it was a goner. But I digress.. Lindell Deli and Grocery is an old school deli, with good prices, good service, long history, great location and epic come-back story.
