We came here the first day we visited Long Beach and just kept coming back every morning for breakfast! The egg and cheese sandwiches are delicious and very inexpensive, and the service is excellent. We actually planned to try a new place for coffee and bagels down the street, but after waiting for 20 minutes in their line that didn't move we left and came here again! Really excellent service for an extra star. The coffee is mediocre Long Island deli grade, but drinkable. We will be back when we return to Long Beach! read more

Great sammys! They have whole wheat rolls and heroes with a wide variety of sandwich options. The food was made fast and came out hot and delicious. I ordered the big bird which was roasted turkey with mozzarella, cranberry sauce and gravy on a garlic roll. It was huge and I was able to take half home for tomorrow's lunch! Lots of sandwich options with grilled chicken, chicken cutlet and ham. Toppings ranged from grilled veggies to a variety of cheeses and sauces. I'd definitely go back for a quick sandwich. read more

RIPPED OFF! We ordered a delivery based on the menu on thier website. 2 Blackhawks breakfast sandwiches listed on thier website menu (which is titled "updated" when you download the pdf as we did) at $5.99 each and a side of homefries listed for $2.75. The website and the menu advertise FREE DELIVERY. The menu also promises complimentary coffee with each sandwich so we told them how we wanted our coffee when we ordered. The deilvery took over an hour, there was no coffee, no hotsauce as described on the menu, and shockingly we were billed $7.50 for each sandwich , $4.50 for the homefries and an extra $2.00 delivery charge! When I called to question this I was told, "well, we havent updated our website "(despite the url saying it is the updated menu) and when I asked if they might not have mentioned that when we ordered the response was "we assume everyone knows". No offer was made to refund the extra charges. As for not updating thier website, it is noteworthy that thier website indicates it was updated as recently as 7/15/17 to add a poster for the Waterfront Warriors, a noble cause certainley, but it shows they update thier website while choosing to continue to misrepresent thier prices and delivery policy. http://delilongbeachny.com/ Adding over $7.00 to our order without warning and misrepresenting both thier prices and delivery policy is consumer fraud. I will be reporting this to the Nassau County District Attorney and the appropriate State liscensing authorities. Soooo gross!!! I placed an order and picked it up. When I came home I discovered they doubled the ham order and forgot the cheese. I called and asked for the cheese to be delivered. When the man came he asked for the ham back!! I was in shock. I grabbed the first ham package I saw. Then called the store to ask that anytime I'd be shocked they took the food back but especially during a pandemic. The woman complained I gave her back the wrong package and food was missing. One of the better delis on the island but what I saw today will probably keep me from going back. There's a cooler next to the iced tea machines filled with ice that they use for the iced tea. One of the employees, twice in the 5 minutes i was there, stuck his bare hands (no gloves) in it to get ice, then put the ice in his mouth. Pretty gross. read more

Nice to see a place that recently changed hands remain true to the quality and concept that made them so successful under the original ownership. Still great sandwiches that are a bit pricey but you get what you pay for here. Winter soups and specials are great - wish they had specials in the summer. Took 1 star off because there is a woman who is very nasty - not the owner/manager(?) - the one who acts like she's doing you a favor taking your oder and tends to mutter under her breathe in Spanish. She used to work at the Point Lookout Deli - actually she's worked all over town in delis and bagel stores. The rest of the staff is pleasantly aggressive and efficient and work very hard to keep the line moving. Discovered Brand's last summer when I came to Long Beach for the first time (even though I've lived in Queens for 68 years). Got off the LIRR across the street looking for a place to get breakfast before the beach. From that very first visit and for every subsequent visit (about a dozen), it's been a great experience. The breakfast sandwiches are fresh, the muffins are great, and the crumb cake is from days gone-by; and the guys and occasional girl that help me have been an asset to the place --- all very friendly, efficient and tuned into the customers. I look forward to Brand's as much as I used to look forward to my Nathan's hotdog when my aunt would take me to Steeplechase in the 50's. I wouldn't even waste my time to look for another place. One problem--- once AFTER the beach I had my heart set on a BLT for an early light dinner, only to learn they close around 4:00p.m. Hey, as a retiree I'm all for free time!! Catered from Brand's Deli for the first time yesterday. Ordered trays of hot food - penne ala vodka, chicken marsala, eggplant rollatini and roasted potatoes with string beans. All of my guests (who are Italian btw) loved everything because "it tasted just like grandma's" without all of the work in the kitchen. Joe made the ordering very easy and he helped me customize the menu. I have to say, even Chris and Sean who delivered the food were extremely nice and very personable - despite having to travel in the snow! I love Brand's Deli. A huge cold cut hero with a side of chips is one of my favorite meals any time of day. Every time I order a sandwich on a roll or hero from here, it never disappoints. They give you exactly what you order and how you order it. There is always a ton of meat on each sandwich, and the options from the menu seem endless. They have some fun sandwiches based around hockey names and themes, and the breakfast options are as good as the hot heroes and deli sandwiches from what I've heard. The location is perfect...it's in the center of town and great for non-locals who are getting off the train on their way to the beach. It's awesome having a go-to deli right near the house and the beach to order some sandwiches and have a great day in the sun. It's a plus that they provide catering and delivery services too. Prices are cheap, but they aren't extremely high either. Depending on what you get, you most likely won't hurt your wallet too badly. My usual order consists of different traditional italian meats with lots of lettuce, tomato, mayo. It's always delicious. The tuna fish salad is also a staple of mine, and the Brand's tuna tastes great.There are always a lot of people waiting to help you behind the counter, so waiting is never a problem.
