My friends raved about the scotch eggs and sausage roll, but I enjoyed the salmon and dill roll. The buttermilk scone was perfectly tender and was served with jam and clotted cream. Desserts included a macaron, a chocolate orange profiterole, an apple crumble tartlet and Christmas cake. All were perfection. Staff were very attentive. Paid parking is adjacent.

He did a fine job waiting on our table but we felt like it was always rushed. We had short rib pie, the sea bass & the snapper & they were all excellent. The birthday brownie was complimentary & a nice touch. Their warm bread was outstanding. They have a nice wine list, although being from the states I wasn't familiar with most of their wines. The atmosphere is just right, not too stuffy but does have class. I'd definitely would go again whenever I'm back visiting.

The staff were very friendly especially Laura (receptionist) who provided us with information of the history of the place. If you hanker after some quality time with your loved one or chillax break for yourself ...ie days before mobile phones ...this is the ideal place for to recharge your batteries or to write that novel.! The rooms are comfortable, spotlessly clean and thoughtfully furnished and equipped. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel. The owners, Tim and Elizabeth, are very friendly and accommodating. Sherbourne House has a small restaurant and bar and the food is really very good although there are also several excellent restaurants within walking distance if you fancy a change. I can't recommend it highly enough, a real gem.

All rooms are upstairs and there's no lift, so heavy luggage is a pain in the 500+ year old hallways.

Oh well, I popped into the pub for a glass of wine. The atmosphere is cozy and warm. Relaxing after a day of travel from Paris this is a well needed break. I checked into the hotel with no issues. The experience was terrible to say the least! The first room smelt like cigarette smoke. We told them we can't stay there because my husband has asthma, plus the smell was horrible. They second room had no heat. We complained religiously and they would adjust the heat from the front desk.Everytime we returned from being out the room was freezing and I would have to go back downstairs to the front desk only for them to turn it on again. You should be able to control your heat from your room. They finally moved us to another room for the last 3 days of our 8 day stay. The keys to the rooms never worked out I would have to get replacements almost daily. What happened to the good night guarantee? The bathrooms in the restaurant were filthy and had blue mop buckets in the Mens room because the urinals were leaking. The housekeeping cart that housed the cleanliness was dirty and moldy. I have reached out to the premier inn and the corporate office to no avail. I guess because I am here in Florida I don't matter... I would never recommend to anyone.

Reception staff cant do enough to help .. rooms do get slightly warm at times. Shame there isnt another chair in bed room cos sitting on bed at night kills the back,if talking or watching tv. Breakfast is served in the restuarant which over looks the heath where the horses and jockeys go out for there morning canter. Which is nice to see whether continental or full cooked breakfast theres plenty to choose from . Car parking is just across the road . But limited parking reserved for premier in. Otherwise you have to park on the next level up and pay for parking. Besides that. This if a fab place to stay .I'd definatley recommend . Right on the edge of town .. too everything you could need round you .. banks, petrol ,station, foodstores and the rookery centre is a stone throw away for any essential needs or anything youve forgot.
