Great all-around American food for the hungry cowboy or cowgirl. Ranging from simple grilled cheese to hot open face roast beef who wouldn't want to stop here? Breakfast is served until 3pm for the traveler wanting to keep the morning going a bit longer in the day. The grilled ham and cheese was superb along with the home made chips, a staple in this part of the world. The hot roast beef looked fantastic with mashed potatoes and a side salad, and the burger special with fries was eaten quickly as well. For anyone with a nut allergy, there are sunflower seeds on the salad, but the servers will quickly get you a new one without them. Restaurant is split with a front (smoking) and back (non smoking) dining area. Plenty of seating in either area with a door to either as well. Service was excellent and friendly. Bathrooms were clean. Parking is around the restaurant or you can utilize the street. Come here hungry, there are some good options to pick from.

Good home cooking at good prices. My favorite is the BYO Burger as I get my burger how I want it. Staff is friendly and the place is dated but cozy.

No Sign out front but we found it, It didn't seem to matter because the place was packed, Lynette was a sweet heart and her service was perfect, Our breakfast delicious and the bacon was the highlight..

I said no meat so they put a side of bacon on my salad. Way to go

Food was just average. No utensils or napkins were given for our take out order. And they put bacon on my salad despite mentioning to them multiple times I do not eat meat.

I enjoyed my experience in this small town restaurant. Me and my fiancé were in visiting family for a few days and choose to eat our last dinner in Wyoming at Brandin Iron. The works were supper nice and the place wasn't too busy so it was easy for us to pick a table. There is also a smoking section and a non smoking section area for dine In customers. The food was good.

Stopped for lunch on a road trip through Wyoming after visiting bighorn canyon with my wife and infant. We didn't know what time they closed because the hours were not on the door, but apparently we walked in 1 minute before closing. The owner was very gracious and still welcomed us and another couple in- the staff was friendly. The non smoking section was well isolated from the smoking area in front. Our burger and Philly sandwich came out quick and tasty. Toppings are reasonably priced for custom burgers. The sweet potato wedges we're very good and a nice variation on fries. Good experience in a small town.

The place buzzes with lots of great energy the moment you pull up to it! And the staff are super friendly and helpful! We got tickets for dinner and show. The dinner is a Chuck wagon style all you can buffet brisket, chicken, and lots of sides! Brisket and chicken were TENDER and moist! SO GOOD! Mac & cheese was my favorite side dish. There was also salad, beans, and cornbread. Lemonade and iced tea was included (I made myself an Arnie Palmer). Free refills! And there were brownies and ice cream for dessert! Food was served hot and fast! I can't say enough how friendly the staff were! The show featured the Triple C band!!! And THEY WERE AMAZING! I enjoy country music but I'm not a die-heart fan and even I enjoyed every song they played! And they were hilarious and really gave the audience a great show!! After each member was introduced they would play a song that highlighted that band member's talent and boy - THEY WERE INCREDIBLY TALENTED! they had us on our feet dancing and rocking! It was super fun! And they were also on time! I came on my first night in town so I was tired... they started on time and they finished on time! So I felt like they really respected my time and my energy! Will definitely recommend to others!

I'd highly suggest removing one particular song, as it is a fiddle song which needs to stay true to the original...sorry, but the performance of that one was a real let down. We did enjoy ourselves and the couples we sat with.

I wasn't quite…read moresure what to expect as we walked in, but from the moment we entered, I knew we had stumbled onto something special. The interior was a little on the dark side, but the warm, inviting vibe pulled us in. We navigated our way to the main section, finding two wonderfully comfortable plush blue chairs next to the bar. The small details immediately caught my attention--each table adorned with fresh flowers in charming vases, adding a thoughtful and personal touch. Our server was genuinely sweet and attentive, setting the tone for a relaxed and enjoyable evening. I did notice they have an outdoor patio out back, but the atmosphere inside was too good to pass up. We began with the spring pea salad--an absolute standout--featuring creamy ricotta, crisp snap peas, fresh mint, and pistachios. It was fresh, crunchy, and beautifully balanced. We added a slice of toasted ciabatta bread, topping it with the salad to make our own bruschetta-style bites, which turned it into a perfect little dish. Next came the spice-roasted carrots, which were every bit as flavorful as they were beautiful, followed by the pork belly barbecue with a blueberry barbecue sauce. The sweetness of the sauce paired beautifully with the rich pork belly, creating a dish that was both comforting and elevated. For drinks, I had the Jayne Mansfield--a bright, refreshing, and totally unique cocktail--while my mom enjoyed the Lauren Bacall, which she loved. The restaurant's name comes from a fun and memorable story: the owners were discussing their plans to open the restaurant when they spotted a one-legged magpie. It stuck--and now it's part of the charm of the place. One Legged Magpie delivers on every level: warm atmosphere, thoughtful touches, incredible food, and a sense of place you won't soon forget. If you're in Red Lodge, this is a must-visit spot.
