On the other hand, if you want to dance, or stand and chat with friends away from the tables, or let the kids have a place to roam, the set-up works. The service is quick, friendly, and has no pressure to hurry up and order. The menu is on the wall, but there's also one near the register. Clearly people who come here already know what they want, if not pizza, then hoagies, wings, or salads. The pizza? I'm at a loss for words. It looked great. I mean, looked great as in ready for marketing ads. The toppings -- extremely generous toppings -- were spread precisely and evenly across the top. It looked too pretty to eat, but also too good not to dive in. Pulling out a slice gave another ad campaign worthy photo with the cheese leaving those long strings as the slice pulls away. That pizza should have stayed in the ad. There was an odd taste. The crust was not cooked. Not raw, but clearly not done. There was an odd taste to one of the toppings, not sure which, as though it had been stored next to something else and absorbed the odors. Because this was a to-go order, it was too late to take it back. Maybe it was too early in the pizza making day, but this pizza just didn't work. It's a pity because everything else about this small-town place was good.

This visit was with my Twin & Nephews after they helped with some yard work. One Nephew had a Blimpie's sandwich (it was HUGE), the other had tacos, Sis & I both had hamburgers w fries, which are the best I've had in a long time. Yes... the service can get really slow, especially during the noon rush. But the servers, cooks, etc. keep their cool & are usually very pleasant & do their jobs professionally. You just need to relax & remember they are doing the best they can under the circumstances. It seems that everybody is always in such a hurry these days &, believe me, when I tell you that small towns move at their own pace. Highly recommend because of the variety of foods.

When we finally got the attention of the kids in the back, they begrudgingly came out and rudely took our order. The kid who wrapped the tortillas -barely- wrapped them. I mean they "wrapped" it but mostly just mangled it. We rewrapped them in the car. They couldn't even cut through mine completely. I asked for ranch and there was barely any in one side it it. They didn't salt it like I asked. So thanks kids for sad, poorly wrapped, lacking food.

Turns out they do a brisk business on Taco Tuesday.. Chips and salsa was accompanied by a cup of pinto beans that were very good, if not a little salty. I had the smothered green chile burrito and it was delicious! Not a hint of heat in those chiles but very flavorful. Plenty of refrieds and rice to fill up the plate. The tortilla wrapped around burrito fixins was very light and when the cook came out for a break I asked if it had been home made and I was assured it was. A piece of honey candy from the local Queen Bee Gardens accompanied the check. I left feeling very impressed with this eating establishment, and with a full belly. I'll be back..

Neither one of us had been there before and thought this would be a great take out. The outside of the restaurant has not changed, but the inside has had a complete redo. It's bright, it's colorful, it's whimsical, it definitely has that Spanish Flair to it! When we got inside, we were greeted immediately by a friendly waitress, we told her we were taking out and she gave us the menu. Sis went down the menu asking questions about various items and we settled on smothered burrito and street tacos. They took our order, sis paid and we sat down to wait. I in the meantime was busily taking pictures of the changes that had so increased the restaurant Flair of this little place. Our order was ready very quickly and we promptly came home and sat down to eat. I asked sis how her smothered burrito was and she said it was good. My plate of 4 street tacos with rice and beans was also good. Neither meal was very spicy and I missed the cheese in the rice and beans. Still, both meals turned into two meals for both of us. So guess what we're having for dinner tonight? LOL if you're looking for a quick tasty meal and wanting something in the Mexican line, this is a nice place to go. Bon appetit...
