Very very good food! A little pricey for the area, but so worth it! Between the food and atmosphere, it's a must go to place!

One Legged Magpie is truly a gem and an unexpected culinary delight in Red Lodge. I wasn't quite…read moresure what to expect as we walked in, but from the moment we entered, I knew we had stumbled onto something special. The interior was a little on the dark side, but the warm, inviting vibe pulled us in. We navigated our way to the main section, finding two wonderfully comfortable plush blue chairs next to the bar. The small details immediately caught my attention--each table adorned with fresh flowers in charming vases, adding a thoughtful and personal touch. Our server was genuinely sweet and attentive, setting the tone for a relaxed and enjoyable evening. I did notice they have an outdoor patio out back, but the atmosphere inside was too good to pass up. We began with the spring pea salad--an absolute standout--featuring creamy ricotta, crisp snap peas, fresh mint, and pistachios. It was fresh, crunchy, and beautifully balanced. We added a slice of toasted ciabatta bread, topping it with the salad to make our own bruschetta-style bites, which turned it into a perfect little dish. Next came the spice-roasted carrots, which were every bit as flavorful as they were beautiful, followed by the pork belly barbecue with a blueberry barbecue sauce. The sweetness of the sauce paired beautifully with the rich pork belly, creating a dish that was both comforting and elevated. For drinks, I had the Jayne Mansfield--a bright, refreshing, and totally unique cocktail--while my mom enjoyed the Lauren Bacall, which she loved. The restaurant's name comes from a fun and memorable story: the owners were discussing their plans to open the restaurant when they spotted a one-legged magpie. It stuck--and now it's part of the charm of the place. One Legged Magpie delivers on every level: warm atmosphere, thoughtful touches, incredible food, and a sense of place you won't soon forget. If you're in Red Lodge, this is a must-visit spot.

My husband thoroughly enjoyed the pizza special (not sure of the name but it had an egg over easy in the center). It too was delicious. What a fun spot. The atmosphere is super cool (music and decor). Service was fantastic as well. Thanks for the recommendations! Dessert

The place buzzes with lots of great energy the moment you pull up to it! And the staff are super friendly and helpful! We got tickets for dinner and show. The dinner is a Chuck wagon style all you can buffet brisket, chicken, and lots of sides! Brisket and chicken were TENDER and moist! SO GOOD! Mac & cheese was my favorite side dish. There was also salad, beans, and cornbread. Lemonade and iced tea was included (I made myself an Arnie Palmer). Free refills! And there were brownies and ice cream for dessert! Food was served hot and fast! I can't say enough how friendly the staff were! The show featured the Triple C band!!! And THEY WERE AMAZING! I enjoy country music but I'm not a die-heart fan and even I enjoyed every song they played! And they were hilarious and really gave the audience a great show!! After each member was introduced they would play a song that highlighted that band member's talent and boy - THEY WERE INCREDIBLY TALENTED! they had us on our feet dancing and rocking! It was super fun! And they were also on time! I came on my first night in town so I was tired... they started on time and they finished on time! So I felt like they really respected my time and my energy! Will definitely recommend to others!

I'd highly suggest removing one particular song, as it is a fiddle song which needs to stay true to the original...sorry, but the performance of that one was a real let down. We did enjoy ourselves and the couples we sat with.

Waitress made the staff prepare a bowl of fruit for our son and brought him a color book, and was just the sweetest and most heart warming person to her clients. While also giving the locals their attention and handling a busy morning like a professional. Plus gave some amazing recommendations! Definitely won our hearts and our tip! -Farmers favorite: 5/5 (pay for a side of green chile pork) Our waitress wasn't lying when she said it was delicious! A bite that's almost farm fresh whole being a hash like consistency makes this bite a delicious one! Soft but slightly crispy while having a rich flavor from the pork. Alone, delicious, add the pork chile verde!?!? Another level!!! Authentic hatch green chile verde to top this makes it a Mexican inspired almost gravy like consistency that just screams in savory and is the perfect match to change up the ole ketchup and hot sauce you'd drop on this kind of a meal. -sweet role: 5/5 Get the sweet role... get it with the home made glaze too! Don't just wait... order it right away before they sell out. One of the best rolls we've ordered together. Definitely worth coming in just for this... plus. It feeds 4 or more. Trust me.... You won't regret it!

I got Granny's Favorite which was 2 eggs, hash browns, bacon and sourdough toast. You do get some choices with that like what meat you want, what kind of toast, and how the eggs are made, however there are no substitutions so I had to stick with the hash browns despite not loving them (not from here but in general). The food wasn't anything that overly stood out to me, but I did get a very generic breakfast. The staff, however, were friendly and some of the hosts as we were leaving were even talking about the Australian Emu War which I thought was funny. Overall, I wouldn't avoid coming back if we were in Cody, Wyoming again but I would probably see if there was a different recommendation next time.
