ISSUE #1: I payed them to design a logo, letterhead, envelope, and business card, and to deliver 500 business cards. Results: 1) The logo looks great! But that is where the good news ends. 2) It took at least 5 round trips to get the letterhead right--and my only request was to change the order of the lines of contact info. 3) The envelope was RIDICULOUS! They put my logo on the top center of the envelop and the return address at the BOTTOM CENTER! I can show a picture if anyone wants a good laugh. I guess they've never used the U.S. postal service before. 4) They never delivered my business cards! ISSUE #2: I paid them a lot of money to register my logo with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). This is the exact text from the email they sent me: "Congratulations! Your copyright application got approved from US Copyrights Office. You are now entitled to own the logo and use it anywhere of your choice. The serial number mentioned below serves as a proof of ownership. You can further verify the serial number from the official website copyright.gov Serial Number: 1-8565727871" This was done in January of this year and I still cannot find it. Over the last 6 months, I asked, asked again, begged, pleaded for them to give me instructions on how to verify my trademark (and yes, I have the emails to prove this) and they refused to respond. So, I did a charge-back on my credit card. That woke them up. I told them all I wanted was to know that my logo was truly trademarked, and if they would give me instructions on how to find it, I would gladly reverse the charge-back. Here is my email back in April and their response: Apr 20 2:05PM Brad replied All I want is for you to show me how to find my trademarked logo on the USPTO.gov website. My experience was much like "Brad A."... READ ON - at first, everything will go well, and then you will realize you were being scammed the whole time. PLEASE REALIZE that normally, you can commission an designer - you pay them, they give you a logo, and they release their rights to it since you paid them. Easy - then you can do whatever you want with the logo - copyright it, trademark it, use it as a trademark without registering it - whatever. That's what I thought I was purchasing with the premium package. 1. The logo design process - fun - responsive - easy. 2. We finish, and they make it seem like everything is great!, BUT 3. Then the phone calls start asking me for $220 for copyright. (That is how much a basic logo design should cost from a local designer.) I reluctantly pay after they reassure me that is the last fee. 4. Then another call - they need another $398 for the copyright because the $220 was just for the legal paperwork. I think I got lucky the first go around. The logo was good. I went back to them for a simple re-brand design and change of the logo slightly with the color. This is when I realized how terrible this company really is. Its been almost a month and I had to practically re-designed the logo myself with Hex Codes #'s and simple instructions and each and every change and I would get back something totally different than my request. I think we must have had about 40 or so email changes/requests because they couldn't get it right. I was finally over it and couldn't continue the endless emails back and fourth so I requested a refund with in their 30 day money back guarantee. They replied: "Please note that we wont be able to process the refund as most of the work has already been completed and we were really close to get the work completed.Please note that the refund is only possible if requested upon initial concepts." I ended up having to contest the charge with my credit card company. I wish I had looked at all of the Yelp reviews before proceeding with this company. Would have saved me time and the headache. I picked up the $89 dollars package years ago and paid in full (logo design). Today, they call me to ask for additional money. They give me two options. (1) pay $59 for the termination fee (they said the logo that they designed belongs to them and they just authorize me to use for a year.) (2) buy the ownership fee. I asked them to re-send me the invoice for purchase and I can go over the term and condition again. First, he sent me an invoice dated 07/2017 (First FAKE invoice). There is no such thing to mention termination fee or ownership fee. I asked him again. Then, he sent another invoice (second FAKE invoice) that with termination fee or ownership fee on term and condition. Funny guy. The funniest thing is there are a lot of mistakes on the invoice. (1) the amount on the invoice is not correct (2) the invoice date is not correct (3) the package that I bought is not correct. I can say. It is a completely FAKE invoice with modified term and condition. Lucky, I still have the original invoice. He also mentioned in the email that "Previously we were not mentioning the prices for early termination fee now we have updated the records so the customer cannot complain" What? Can they back charge a customer? I don't believe so. Also, counterfeiting document is a legal matter (I guess). The worst thing is using a counterfeit document for chasing money. There is no free lunch, as they say. This company is a SCAM! You do not get a logo for the low fee of $49. They will hold it hostage until you pay licensing fees which are very high. This is highly unusual. Their website is almost impossible to navigate once you sign up and you'll never get notified if you have an update so you constantly have to go into the site (which a I said is difficult to do) and check. The initial order is followed by relentless phone calls one after the other. When you finally do answer, it's someone from India trying to upsell you on formats that you'll never need. The basic $49 formats are enough for most people. Once you make your final choice, then the calls come again over and over from another person from India trying to tell you about the $550 licensing fee to register your logo. They will attempt to sell you back your own domain at top dollar and will negotiate until you finally agree to a fixed price. They will try to sell you the entire package transfer, which includes your site, logo, domain, and access to your emails. 3. They've accepted your payment and have assured you that they will provide you with the transfer link.......WRONG! This is where they position themselves for their next extortionist scheme. So lets recap all the times they have purposely shut down your site, disabled your emails, asked for logo copyright fees, or made up a reason for you to give them more money like asking for more hosting, bandwidth, and site maintenance fees. Lets not forget that everytime the newest malware or virus hits the streets, they act like you've been infected or are succeptible to infection. If you've been dealing with these frauds for more than 6 months, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. 4. Now, lets talk about turnover. How many account managers have you had? Instead, you get a phone call the next day from "IT", which is just another salesman, stating that while transferring over the domain, an offer has been placed on it by another company which so happens to be in your state. Company protocol says "the site will be available during the transfer phase for a period of 24 hours" and if no bids are received, they will transfer over for the negotiated amount you thought was legitimate. Well, the person making the bid is probably them and this is yet another way to make more money from you before you leave. They go into, "we are running a business bit" but what it really is, is that they have little to no regard for you or your business and could care less if you purchase your domain or not. They know that most small business owners do not have the ability, funds, or resources to rebrand their entire company so they use that against you. 6. The going price for your domain will always be 599-899-1099, something that ends with 99 because its yet another ploy to squeeze out more money from you.
