Based on their web-site ad and some reviews, I talked to this company about a maintenance-cleaning of our heat pump units. I told Bill, the office coordinator, that we have three indoor units and one outdoor unit (the condenser). He said that the total would be $385, but since I'm a new customer there would be a $100 discount, making the total $285 - his words. I agreed to these terms. At no time during our conversation was a figure of $485 uttered by him, something I would not have accepted, even with the discount. And yet, the invoice that I received two days after service completion (about 2 hours' work by one technician) asked for $485 minus the $100 discount, plus a fuel surcharge of $7.50. I called to complain that this was not the agreed-upon amount, but Bill simply denied having made that offer. But I know what I heard him clearly say. Lesson learned - never accept an unwritten quote! The work done was underwhelming - acceptable, but more or less perfunctory without much oral communication about the state of the system. I would recommend anyone needing this service to shop around and get everything in writing before agreeing to the terms. I will not be a continuing customer. read more

We sought Brancato's help with a malfunctioning furnace during some of the coldest days of the winter. They responded promptly, restored our heat with a temporary fix (to our great relief), and then followed up with a timely permanent repair. What a great company! We have used Brancato's heating for years. Joe Brancato has done work for us on our family log home in Harpswell. He put in a new boiler with an indirect tank. He knows his stuff, is easy to work with, and we haven't had any trouble with our heating system. I have a home in Brunswick and just had James from Brancato's come by to do the annual service on my heater. What a great guy! I always like to watch when technicians are doing their work. I am very curious and generally have questions. James was great, very knowledgeable and enjoys his job. He was more than happy to answer any questions I had while doing the annual maintenance on my heater. I highly recommend Brancatos. read more

This review is for my experience with asking for a quote for a furnace replacement. A very cheerful lady answered the phone at 7:00 a.m. and said she would have the owner contact me. He did, less than an hour later. He asked me some questions and I sent him photos of my basement and furnace via text. Minutes later I had a very detailed quote sent to me for the specific furnace I am interested in along with a quote for a less expensive option that HE volunteered! This is a family run business and the owner states that all of his techs are licensed and he can send verifying paperwork upon request. Although they are in Brunswick he is willing to travel to Scarborough. I'm still gathering quotes but was so impressed with the quoting process here after some not very impressive experiences with other companies (not getting straight answers, for one, or finding out they have unlicensed people) I wanted to give them a shout out! read more

After my experience with one of their employees today I would not hire them to change a toilet paper roll.

On 01,04,2019 at 1:30pm, called Brancato's Heating because my oil burner died. On 01,05,2019 at 9am, Brancato's Heating showed up in my driveway with one of the best crew I've ever seen work together. By 1:30 pm I had a new burner installed and heating my home again. Our furnace and water heater was installed and running in one day. The workman ship is amazing and the cellar was swept, cleaned of all old parts and cleaner than when they started. Very polite workers and knowledgeable. I recommend this company 100%. I couldn't be happier. read more
