We got a lesson on Sanitation 101 when the BLACK valve would not fully close. Josh was going to look into that issue. LP tank and the generator were both empty but worked out those minor issues. I know we left it cleaner than when we picked it up. A great camping experience. We'll be back!!!

DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS FOR ANY RV RENTALS…read more Prior to picking up our rental RV, the business owner, Josh, told us that one of his employees would be there to show us the RV and sign the final rental documents. When my husband and I got there, the employee was super nice. He had the generator running because he wanted to show us all of the features of the RV, including "how cool the RV could get" during the hot weather. We told the employee that we would not need the generator, since we would be hooked up to electricity at our campsite. After going through the tour of the RV, we asked the employee whether or not we had to empty any tanks if we weren't planning on using the sink, shower, or toilet since we would have an bathroom/shower at the campground. He told us that we would not have to worry about emptying any tanks as long as we weren't using them. The employee also walked through what 'CLEAN' meant when returning the RV. He said that Josh, did a deep clean once a year and that as long as we swept and didn't leave trash, that it would not be a problem, because we were camping. We planned on bringing our dog, so we paid a pet deposit fee upfront. When we returned the RV, Josh accused us of not emptying the tanks, using the generator, and for excessive pet hair. He also said that he would be hiring a third party cleaning company because according to him it was too much to clean. He saw dollar signs when we paid a pet deposit. He refused to return our $1.5k security deposit AND charged us an additional $375 in fees that were not previously disclosed. However, we swept, vacuumed, and disinfected surfaces before returning the RV. After a few messages back and forth, Josh refused to explain any reasoning as to why we were going to be charged for using functions that we never used. We mentioned that we had reached out to a lawyer for guidance and he stated he would no longer speak with us, only to our lawyer. When our lawyer emailed him for more information about the charges, he didn't have the decency to respond to her either. This business is a scam. There is a quality control issue with their rentals that will cost you!

    This was the third RV purchase for my wife and me and it ranks right up there with Camping World -…read moreall we want is a done deal and should there be issues with your RV all you will get from Hilltop is double talk. We purchased a 2020 Palimino 5th wheel and had it delivered to our seasonal campsite. That is where the trouble began. It is requeired at the camp ground that we hard pipe to the sewer connection. When I opened the drain pipe I got a gush of black water - yes, the water was black. We were told we were purchasing the highest level of service available and 120 systems would be reviewed and tested. How could that be done and black water would be right there in the drain. Next I connected to our water source. Within 2 minutes of the water being turned on it was leaking from the water heater pressure relief valve. Apparently one of the 120 system checks, connecting to a water source was not checked. In the process of selecting this unit we spoke with our salesman and he indicated that a new residential refrigerator with an ice maker was being installed. Guess what? Neither the water source or the ice maker works, no water no ice. I have other issues but my point to all of this is how did these three items slide past the 120 point system inspection. In my conversations with the salesman and the sales manager it was clear in the manner that it was my problem. The sales manager indicated that they had someone that lived in my area and he could stop by and review the issues. I responded that I had a repair service scheduled for the next morning and the reply was something like well it seems you have it handled then. Having now bought from Camping World and Hilltop I will not shop at either of those companies again. I would not recommend either of them to anyone. They want the deal done and then they are moving on to the next sale. PS: The service provider I have used over the last 5 years will be here next week to replace the toiler flush valve and look into the water source for the fridge - another bill for me to pay.

    Sent us out in an RV in which the refrigerator was not working during initial walk-through. They…read moredisconnected and reconnected some wires, pulled a fuse out and put it back in and said, "that should be fine." It WASN'T fine. We spent the next two weeks dealing with it. Food spoiling, altering our itinerary to hunt down parts and repairs, etc. They wouldn't do a darn thing. We found out from one of their other dealers that this particular model refrigerator has KNOWN issues and they just haven't taken the time to pull them all off the road and replace the. AND, the unit had the worst suspension and shock absorbers. Rattled and banged so loudly down the road we couldn't even speak to one another. Not to mention how worn down it was. Worst experience ever. We're about to seek legal help. $4000 for a two week rental and corporate says, "Here's a $100 gift certificate to rent with us again...." And, there are allegedly no supervisors to speak with in Customer Relations office, just three agents who offer no real compensation for issues like this. Um, no. Knowingly sending us out in a unit that isn't fully working is BREACH of CONTRACT. DO NOT RENT FROM CRUISE AMERICA!
