I had a wonderful experience with Brakes Plus. I made an appointment for them to do brake repair as the brakes had just begun to grind a bit. I also asked them for an oil change. Chris was the person I spoke to and he could not have been more friendly or helpful. He advised that the potential wait time could be 3+ hours and instead of waiting they could call me a Lyft to take me home, which I accepted. The ride was just $11 which was just added to my bill. I received a phone call from Chris a few hours later advising that the pads on all 4 tires should be replaced and that while the rotors in the front were good, the back ones were shot and needed to be replaced. The price he quoted me was well within what I was expecting so I agreed to the work. A couple of hours after that, my vehicle was done and they ordered me a Lyft back to the store. The company offers coupons and I used the $40 off brake service coupon to lower my total by a bit. Chris and I chatted while I completed the transaction and then continued our chat for a small amount of time after. He is just a really friendly and engaging guy. I recommend this location (Blue Mound) for brake service and oil change. No one tried to upsell me anything nor did they add any additional services that were not agreed upon. As a woman, sometimes, even now, we get talked down to or pushed for unnecessary extras. Not here. I was treated with respect. I appreciate my really good experience here. Thank you. read more

I agree this place is a joke they are liars and deceivers. They do not care about stealing your money. High labor rates and too much markup on parts. Greedy and slow. They are fast talkers if you try to point out something to them that they said or did they think fast and come up with a quick lie to why this was or is and what they just told you don't match up. They are big gas lighters. They tell you to trust them and they are not one to put one over on you....lies all lies. Con artists. THEY WILL MAKE UP FAKE REPAIRS TO STEAL YOUR MONEY.)They all stick together. Once they got your money and you try to back track certain things they don't care because you already paid. 0n August 2, 2025 I went to the Brakes Plus in Saginaw on Blue Mound for an Oil change, I paid $145.18 for it. When I got home, I decided to doublecheck what was done, I found my oil dipstick dry and no Oil was put in my engine, it was dry. It's a good thing I checked it immediately after coming home, or my engine would have had severe engine damage. I returned immediately and spoke with manager Sage Bathgate 682-647-5600 and what I paid for was accomplished correctly as it should have been the first time. That is totally unacceptable, I contacted customer service to let them know what happened, so they are aware of the potential legal problem they can have, not one word, no response at all, terrible customer service. read more

Came to this location for an alignment check, car was shaking so bad when going over 60-65mph, figured it was an alignment needed. They stated i needed new shocks and it would still be under warranty since my car was a 2022(so it was weird that i would already need them replaced in my opinion)..... took my car to the dealer, just for them to say all i needed was an alignment and tires rebalanced.... which they did and car is driving like new!! We spent over $2k for brakes, rotors, master cylinder, etc. and​ the vehicle has been returned to them SIX times for the exact same issue and/or "faulty parts" over the last 2.5 months. They have decided the issue is no longer their problem and told us to pick up the vehicle. Zero response from regional or corporate management. Worst customer experience ever. I went to a competing garage where they misdiagnosed my wheel bearing noise to the wrong axle. Also, their price was quite a bit higher. I requested Brakes Plus evaluate the bearing noise - the diagnosis proved correct after the bad wheel bearings were replaced and the noise went away. I was so disappointed in this business this morning. I had my brake system & shocks replaced by them 2 years ago. My brakes need to be replaced already (!) so I called last week. He pulled up my account & said everything was covered by a lifetime warranty and I would only need to pay the labor, which will be $240. So I brought my car in today (payday). They started in with oh this needs to be replaced and we recommend this, blah blah blah. I told him what the man said last week and it said " Sorry, that guy was wrong. Rotors aren't included in the lifetime warranty. Only the brake pads. It will be $880 today". Wow!!! When I complained to the guy who brought the car around about them not being reliable, he said no one's reliable. Then he said I shouldn't be a f@#king b@#tch. Junior was an amazing employee!! He went above and beyond for me and filled up my tires for me. He also saw my tire in front was bald and switched my better tire in the back to the front so i could be safe. He really was very kind and had a smile on his face the whole time which was very welcoming. Service was very busy but they still stayed after closing and made sure to finish my car. I'm a regular here, and tend to get all of my vehicle services completed here since relocating to Fort Worth. During my most recent visit, I grew frustrated with the time to complete the service. I had arrived at the facility before opening and after 3 hours my patience turned to confusion then frustration. However, Nick ( customer associate ) was able to communicate the issue as well as the fact that they were actively working on a solution. This effectively altered my expectations so that I could understand why things were taking as long as they were. I also appreciated how Hugh ( customer associate) spoke with every customer to see if there were anything he could provide to make them more comfortable. Brakes Plus has a great location in North Richland Hills, they are an all-in-one one-stop-shop, with the exception of tires and wheel locks. Staff is friendly and peppy. Their brake services take less than 3 hours, which is OK because they're located across the street from Target. read more

Maybe some people had a bad experience, but mine was great. I made an appointment for 3PM, but showed up 1.25 hrs early and asked if they could get me in. Aaron up front was friendly and knowledgeable and took me right away. I explained that the dealer wanted $860 to replace the tie rod ends plus $190 for the alignment. I replaced the parts myself ($60 plus 1.5 hrs) and then Brakes Plus did the alignment for $89. I could not be more pleased. read more

My only complaints are that it took well over 45 min, and i feel like they test drove my car an awful lot, but maybe I just don't like other people driving my car. DO NOT GO HERE!!! Brought in my Nissan Truck for just brake pad replacement and oil change. They ran a coolant pressure test against my instruction and charged me for it- and results came back normal. On drive home my car overheated and caused smoke. In 8 years of having my truck I have NEVER had overheating issues, or any issues whatsoever. I took it back the next business day and they took ownership of an issue they caused during the test, fixed it, and apologized. Fast forward a week and I noticed coolant gushing from my truck after parking. I go back to have it addressed and they claim the thermostat is broken and needs replacement- and charged me 300 plus dollars to fix. Keep in mind there was never any issue to the trucks mechanics in past 8 years of driving prior to taking it for just a simple brake job. When speaking to the owner Anthony Wheeler on the phone- I mentioned how the team accidentally messed up the cooling system the prior week and caused my car to overheat. I mentioned I never had any noticeable issues like the ones I've had the the week after visiting the shop, and the thermostat was most likely broken due to the overheating. He stated back he "doesn't know who told you" it was their mistake last week, and this would have happened the following day. He was incredibly condescending and talked to me like I was an idiot, and back tracked all the mistakes his team made last week. He spoke big talk on the phone but when I went in person to confront him he was no where to be found. Hopefully the Better Business Bureau will be able to assist after filing a complaint. read more

Second time ive came and been misdiagnosed on purpose and being told outrageous pricing for oil change. First time it was a "bent frame" and that it would be 5500 to replace and that it needed to be done ASAP.Now its all my control arms and bearings, ball joints, wheel bearings and a tire alignment. Quoted me at 3300 for all that, then i was told my oil change for a 1500 is 140. BS PRICING. Also asked to see the problem and they took me back just to have me look at my tire and repeat what they said .Came to Turbo Tire immediately and they said my truck was fine and nothing was wrong with it. Pretty shady if you ask me. Oil changes are $70 at turbo tire and they wont lie to you to get you to spend more and replace parts unneeded. DON'T GO HERE IF YOU LOVE YOUR TRUCK/CAR!!! If I could give them 0 star I would because they don't even deserve 1. We took our truck for brake pads replacement and even after saying not to do cooling check, they did it. After getting our truck brake pads replaced we were driving our house - 8 min far, the truck started heating so much that heating thermostat went to its max. We took it back there and asked them to fix it. And they said sorry and messed up the truck and gave us free oil change gift card to us. They added the coolant but it didn't fix because the truck would pour out the coolant like its a tap water after a drive for 30 min. So we again had to go back because we never had colling and coolant issue before dropping the car. They came back giving us a qoute of $300 for the mistake they did. The guy who called us Anthony Wheeler was talking to us very disrespectfully in a very condescending way. We told them we don't want to pay because they were the one who made mistakes NOT us. So we went and took the car and we were expressing our concerns to HUE BELL, he didn't helped us in any way instead he laughed at us by saying he can't do anything. The fact that we were still so nice and expressing our concerns for messing up our expensive truck was very heart breaking. Again, PLEASE if you love your car/truck DONOT go to this BRAKE PLUS especially this location. I cried coming back because we were moving and now we don't have our truck working because all we wanted to do is keep up with regular maintenance. We have our friends living in this community - will surely be advised to NOT go here at all because we donot want them to face what we did. Chris Brock Is Heaven Sent Indeed! Ived been told i needed a new transmission. Ived been stressed over the thought of having to get a new car or a new transmission. I brought my car to BREAKES PLUS for the first time, i asked Chris is they could check my transmission oil before i did anything else to my car.
