Idk bro. They were super nice to me and the service was quick and friendly but I got a second opinion when they quoted me $1900... and I got it fixed for $960. I understand this is a business but also, people can barely afford rent and food right now... why are you guys charging so much? You can't really expect someone to just casually hand over $2000 and not ask around right? I'd totally go here for an oil change. Maybe an alignment. But definitely not any repairs. 7/10 read more

Brake Masters - Auto Repair Near Me - Tucson, Arizona

I had my starter replaced here two years ago and was having issues with an occassional nonstart, so I asked if they could check it out; they kindly offered a free diagnostic which discovered the starter was failing and I needed a new one, just outside of warranty so I would have to pay full price again. A small thing tipped me off to get a second opinion: they repeatedly did not refill my windshield fluid during oil changes, and a friend checked and said they did not add any coolant after my last oil change either- I wondered what else they were neglecting. I got a second opinion and found it was just the battery that was low; Brake Masters didn't even check all the electricals I guess. I feel disappointed that I've trusted them for years with various car issues and have probably been lied to and swindled numerous times. They also left my hood unlocked, which I would not have noticed had the person who was giving me a ride not been looking out for me. I could have died. Needless to say, I saved hundreds of dollars, and possibly my life, going elsewhere. I am NEVER going here again. read more

Very happy with my experience with Brake Masters. After a completely unprofessional, aggravating experience at a near by business that I walked out of in a Jiffy, I ended up at Brake Masters for a full synthetic oil change. The place was way cleaner, nicer and my oil change $50 cheaper than the other place. 1/2 hour in and out with a nice air conditioned and comfy waiting room. Friendly, professional staff did exactly what they said for the price quoted. They have a new customer in me. Cheers! read more

Son's car overheated and died in their parking lot after hours. We completed the early service request and left car there. First thing next morning got a phone call asking for all info. Asked for diagnostic before deciding to get repaired there or towed to our mechanic. Bobby kept us in the loop. They were pretty sure the fan was bad so ordered a new one to test it. Turned out they were correct. Car was ready by end of day. We asked if we could pick up next day and were told no problem. Very impressed with their ability to correctly diagnose and repair same day! Even though we live in north Marana, we will be back here! read more

Work was done timely and well. We needed more than just brakes and Brake masters offered us a fair quote. Thank you

I made a spontaneous decision to drive to Arizona to visit my family and wanted to get an overdue oil change before driving back home to California in the sweltering summer temps. My sister recommended this Brake Masters location, so I pulled in and was immediately greeted by Bobby, who was able to get my car in without an appointment. Less than an hour later I was all set, and he even applied a coupon for the service without me asking. The waiting area was pleasant and had nice a/c. Super happy with my visit and service. Thank you, Bobby, and all the mechanics working hard in this brutal summer heat! read more

Went in for a wheel stud repair that was complicated and there were some unexpected costs but Sid took care of the situation. I was stuck in a bind for trying to get the cost of repair covered by another facility that was going to reimburse for the repairs (only up to a certain cost), but Sid went above and beyond in helping me. He moderated the situation and was able to find a reasonable solution. He was empathetic, kind and genuinely wanted to help me out and make sure my car was safe to drive. I am very grateful for Sid and his team. read more

Daniel got me in right away (I called about my a/c not cooling). I called about 10 minutes out and they literally got my car in to the garage in like 5 minutes. I thought I just needed Freon but wasn't sure seeing I just got the car and refilled my truck once before but not on the new car. They were super friendly and prompt. They told me no wait and there was no wait even though there were 2 others there. I really appreciated their service! I will definitely be back again here and would suggest this BrakeMasters to anyone also get the free coupons on their website. UPDATE: My car had an electrical issue and they filled my Freon and could not work on the issue. They didn't charge me at all. I was very thankful for this and will definitely be back with my other vehicles. read more

Brake Masters - The inside area (free WiFi!). - Auto Repair Near Me - Tucson, Arizona

These guys are really good at figuring out how to fix problems....and fixing them. We had a brake problem, they fixed it instead of saying "needs a new set of brakes". So $140 instead of $900. They could have done the $900 and I would have been none the wiser. They went through our rough-running car and figured out the last mechanics put the wrong size plugs in. So they replaced them. And charged a fair price. We had an AC compressor replaced-and it failed a few days later. They got in and replaced it fast no charge. Even helped figure out an odd electrical issue. These guys have our business. And I trust them to be completely honest. read more

I had a great experience at Brake Masters! The employees were friendly, knowledgeable, and very hard working. I really appreciated the extra time they took to explain to me what they were doing and why they were doing it. Prices were extremely reasonable and I would highly recommend this place to anyone who needs help with their breaks! Thank you so much Brake Masters! read more

For the context of this review, picture driving cross country in a 20 year old Firebird and having your brakes stop working between Phoenix and Tucson. Then picture it is lunch time on Saturday, Labor Day weekend. This was the setting for my experience with Brake Masters. Yet despite having the odds very much stacked against making it to my destination by the end of the weekend, Brake Masters was not about to be the reason for that failure. From the initial conversation with JD, the manager, to the clean organized facility, to the welcome cold water, I knew I was at the right place. JD found a supplier who had the needed 20 year old part, and with his talented staff, had my repaired car back to me almost an hour earlier than initially quoted, and at a very reasonable honest price. I highly recommend bring your business to these talented folks read more

I have been to this Brake Masters location for alignments, oil changes, and brake pad & rotor replacements. They do good work and are straightforward with their recommendations. When I brought my car in to have a check engine light fixed, they could have charged me an arm and a leg to fix it but instead said that a dealership would be the better place to go. This place rocks! read more

This is an excellent brake shop! I brought my pickup here to have my brakes checked. The gentleman at the front desk (Daniel) was exceptionally kind and helpful. I was in and out quickly with my brake issues resolved. Customer service here is absolutely the best. I highly recommend this Brake Masters on Speedway Blvd. read more

This place recently opened on a vacant lot near a wash. The lot was better off vacant. These people guess at how to fix a car, and charge you money for their mistakes. I paid them $300 to "try some things" in their words to eliminate a vacuum leak causing check engine light on a 2004 V8 sedan. In the course of this they told me to buy a EGR valve for another $300. None of this cured the trouble and their next idea was to try a $430 gasket job with no guarantees. I stopped hemorrhaging cash at this point and ended up getting rid of the car. I will not take any car I own to this place for anything based on what I would call fraudulent business practices designed to rob me of money and give me back nothing of value. read more

My daughter went to this establishment to the oil changed in her vehicle today. As a Dad and a mechanic it pains me to have her go somewhere besides my shop. As she is in college several thousand miles from home she had to have it done locally. I'm a trusting person and like to believe that all shops treat customers like I do in my shop. This was not the case at Brake Masters #228. They first took advantage of her by insisting she use synthetic oil. This was not necessary for her car and was more expensive. They then proceeded to pressure her into getting fluids flushed and air filters changed. They also told her to rotate her tires. Any mechanic worth their salt would have noticed that the front tires were new and did not need to be rotated! Same with the filters. They did all this while using sexest terms to her like "sweetheart " and "honey". Long story short what should have been $24.00 was ran up to over a $100! Disgraceful! My daughter has reduced hours at her job due to Covid so money is tight. IF YOU ARE FEMALE DON'T GO TO BRAKE MASTERS STORE #228! IF YOU ARE A FATHER THAT CARES DON'T SEND YOUR KIDS THERE EITHER! They disgrace the profession of mechanic! read more

Worst auto shop I've been too, went in with my car not knowing really what was wrong with it hoping they could help, they ended up charging me over 1,600 for a new egr valve that my car did not even need, then went back because it did not fix the problem for them to tell me I need a new engine for 22,000 which my car isn't even worth that much, I will definitely not be going back here. read more

Walked in and the rep was nice and friendly. I got a phone call from one of their mechanics letting me know my breaks might need replacing & if I wanted him to change them. I nicely declined and asked he only perform the oil change only. He was nice and said my car would be ready in 30min. When I return to pick up my car, the reps attitude changed dramatically. He right away asked who does my car's maintenance & made a comment about how it's " so weird" that I only do the oils changes with them & yet " oil change " in not even their company name. I also had a coupon that I showed him and he brushed it off telling me he had already given me the $10 off for being a returning client. As I write this review a message pops up asking me to keep in mind that during COVID 19 employees are doing as best they can, but does Brake Masters know that clients are also suffering the same pandemic? I mean, I'm sorry that I only had enough money to get an oil change and that the service is NOT your company name. This is my first bad experience with this company & honestly I don't think it's the company, it was the service. I will return to Brake Masters, JUST NOT this location. David at the Broadway and Campbell treats me like family & that's we're I will go. read more
