All the local mechanics know about this place, and if you own a car, ESPECIALLY an older model car,…read moreyou NEED to know about this place too. Penny Pincher has saved us not one, not two, but at least THREE times or more, when one of our cars broke down and we needed a part that all of the regular retail chain auto parts stores said had to be "special ordered". Penny Pincher always has the parts we need in stock and always at a much lower price than those chain auto parts stores quote. Need an example? Two days ago, our older Honda Civic blew a wheel bearing while driving on the 101. None of the chain retail auto supply stores had it in stock, but told us they could special order it for $15 and that it would take days to get it. Penny Pincher had it IN STOCK for $3. A day later, we were back on the road! Thank you Penny Pincher! Lots of professional and DIY mechanics come here, so the place is always very busy. Customer service can be great or bad, depending on who you get, but out of the many times that I've dealt with PP, only once did I deal with a rude employee (he was disciplined by the manager later) and the other time, they gave me the wrong part and although they fixed their mixup without complaint, it was annoying to have to wait in that long line, so make sure you have the right part before you leave the store!

Prices....especially since auto zone and O'Reilly are 80% remanufactured parts too. Why pay more?read more

I've been buying and selling cars trucks and parts from western sales management for over 20 years…read morenow. I can't say enough good about how the Cadzow's have run such a fine auction. If your looking for good municipal vehicles they always have plenty. If you have something you want to sell they can sell it for you. It's amazing what you can find in the miscellaneous yard too. I've bought so many neat things over the years and saved thousands of dollars over having to buy new. My hats off to WSM. Keep up the good work.

I recently purchased at this auction for the first time. I interacted with the office staff twice…read more The first time after I won my item I called the office to inquire about their process and they were super helpful, friendly, and extremely patient. They were happy to assist and didn't make me feel like I was an inconvenience. They truly made me feel like a valued customer. Same quality experience upon picking up of my item. I bought a vehicle during covid through their online only auction. You can still preview in person but the vehicles are locked, they don't hand out keys, and you CAN NOT start the vehicles / check for codes, nosies, etc. They do leave the driver side window cracked so you can smell for odors / smoke. This particular vehicle I bought sight unseen other than the photos and description online. The photos were accurate and they did an awesome job detailing the truck. Now some advise, 1. don't bid on a vehicle without expecting to put money into it, these are used vehicles and they are at auction for a reason. 2. Set a max budget and stick to it. (Make sure you calculate the buyers fee AND sales tax into your price. 3. Understand they sell vehicles from many sources, consider the source of the vehicle and why it may be there. 4. I strongly recommend previewing the car in person before bidding, at least check for tire wear, leaks, missing components (spare, etc). 5. Run a vehicle history report. If you stick to these guidelines you will have a great experience and mitigate your risk. There is the potential for some great deals.
