Penny Pincher always has the parts we need in stock and always at a much lower price than those chain auto parts stores quote. Need an example? Two days ago, our older Honda Civic blew a wheel bearing while driving on the 101. None of the chain retail auto supply stores had it in stock, but told us they could special order it for $15 and that it would take days to get it. Penny Pincher had it IN STOCK for $3. A day later, we were back on the road! Thank you Penny Pincher! Lots of professional and DIY mechanics come here, so the place is always very busy. Customer service can be great or bad, depending on who you get, but out of the many times that I've dealt with PP, only once did I deal with a rude employee (he was disciplined by the manager later) and the other time, they gave me the wrong part and although they fixed their mixup without complaint, it was annoying to have to wait in that long line, so make sure you have the right part before you leave the store!

MO Bad Review Had a…read more$15,000 full suspension swap that had some quality assurance issues with it. Tried getting it rectified and we couldn't come to a reasonable agreement. Had to take the issue to court. The court ruled in my favor for close to $3000 in April, 2026. Multiple attempts to contact Matt since then have been made and no response and no payment. That being said, most of the recommendations for the build were good. Matt knows how to sell and knows what parts are good for intense offroading. However, he made some bad judgment calls that required more work and more parts and he made me pay for it. That, coupled with shotty work in some elements of the build, and him ignoring my concerns really is why they've earned a 1 star from me. They boast a proud integrity and workmanship but fell short and dodged responsibility. I'd be a happier person if after the court decision, the judgement would be paid and at least I know they took responsibility of some sort, but they haven't. TLDR: Matt made me pay for their mistakes, couldn't find an agreement to make it right, went to court and judge ruled in my favor, Matt is not taking my calls to pay for their mistakes.
