I would refer him to anyone and I have and will continued to do so. I have seen some upset patients doing some visits but it turned out that they had their facts wrong. I specified medication I've taken for over thirty years for thyroid issues on the intake forms. I told the intake nurse about my thyroid medication, then told the Dr. about the medication. After a VERY brief interview he prescribed a medication which I looked up when I returned home. Warnings were prevalent on numerous web pages that the medication he prescribed should NOT be taken with my long term thyroid medicine. On his webpage is a contact e-mail called "helpdesk" I asked two questions 1. Why prescribe this medication 2. Can I have a lite beer once or twice a week (he had never mentioned the adverse effect it could have) I wrote them four times asking why and is another medication available. Never receiving an answer to my simple question I called twice they called back and refused to answer my question, telling me the Dr. only will talk in an office setting. So I was prescribed (for me) potentially dangerous medication. And he won't respond on the helpdesk. Obviously he never read or listened to the three advance warning that I can't take the medicine he quickly prescribed and won't take responsibility for what could occur if I didn't do an internet search.

He took his time, explained n displayed the MRI imaging in front of me so that I was able to understand what I was reviewing. The office was clean, comfortable and I felt like I was the only patient there. Office staff was very accommodating, efficient and knowledgeable. I was waited on as soon as I arrived. My vitals was taken at my scheduled appointment time then Dr. Irfan entered the physical room within 10 minutes. I was impressed by the efficiency of both the doctor and his staff. I was in and out of doctors office in 40 minutes and felt throughly satisfied with the whole experience

I had a 2:15 appt to go over test results from the previous week. When I arrived I was told I needed to pay my copay. I replied it's already met. After looking at the insurance screen she advised it wasn't. To be fair my insurance company had a system problem and the oop was showing .05%met but also showing my $6,600 deductible met. Considering that alone would make at least 85% of my oop met and when I saw Dr Dewan the week before I did not pay a copay because they looked it up and it was met. The office manager, Jovanni did not seem able to understand this is an obvious problem with the insurance company or care that their records showed I paid no copay the week before. My daughter and I asked several times to speak to the doctor. He refused to speak with us even though I had a booked appointment!!! I asked for a print out of my records and Jovanni refused to take any action to print them until I followed her order to sit down! Well, I have a severe, chronic back issue and did not want to sit but eventually did what I had to in order to receive my records. Upon receiving the records I was told by Jovanni that Dr Dewan was discharging me as a patient. I asked for a letter from him indicating his reason and was told it will be mailed to me! So if I have a seizure and die tonight would he care! I think not! DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR!!! He and his staff are horrendous.

First, communication from the office was extremely poor. I never received a confirmation call for my appointment. When I asked the receptionist about it, I was told they had called, yet I had no missed call and no voicemail. When I asked why a voicemail wasn't left, the receptionist was unable to provide an explanation. Additionally, I had personally called the office multiple times prior to my appointment and could not get anyone to answer the phone. When I arrived for my appointment, it became clear that Dr. Shahid had not reviewed my MRI or even had it available in my chart. As a patient seeking neurological care, I expected my physician to review my diagnostic imaging beforehand. Instead, I felt like I was starting from zero. During the appointment itself, I felt dismissed, unheard, and unsupported. Dr. Shahid did not take meaningful time to understand my symptoms or concerns. When I tried to explain what I've been experiencing, I was met with dismissiveness rather than curiosity or compassion. There was no effort to truly listen or understand what I'm going through as a patient. What was most shocking was being told that this was a "professional office" and that I could leave if I wasn't happy. Patients seek neurological care when they are vulnerable, scared, and looking for guidance. Being spoken to in this way was deeply unprofessional and lacking in empathy. I came to this appointment hoping to find a neurologist who would listen, review my records, and work collaboratively with me. As I'm standing up, I get dizzy, I brace myself and start walking, I stumble against the wall due to dizziness and he says "watch out, be careful". He stops me, tells me to sit and then says I'm all good and can return to work full duty. I asked him about my headaches and dizziness and he says I have PCS post concussion symptoms and there is nothing he can do and that I just have to deal with it with medication. After going back to work, I've had several episodes of dizziness and headaches and now my boss says I cannot come back until I'm 100%. This guy doesn't care about the patient, he gets the check from worker's comp and sends us on our way.
