When I first walked into the spa I felt a calm go over my body which I could not explain but was later told by Valentina, who owns the Spa, she uses the best of the best of essential oils which she was diffusing. It had a great calming effect on me which allowed me to relax as I waited for her to turn her attention to me as she was busy with another client. When she spoke to me letting me know what she intended to do, I was a little apprehensive because I had never had a massage with essential oils before. Well, I must admit the Raindrop Technique Massage she applied to me not only took my pain away but helped me straighten my back so I could stand the way I should, the pain in my back subsided and my legs felt ease of pain for a long time. Valentina is very gracious and delightful to be around as she knows how to treat a client and I am so glad I went there to have her work on me. I would recommend her and her Spa to anyone who has a problem afflicting them. She has pictures of different things she can help with and yes, I am a client of the Aromatic Wholistic Health Spa and will maintain a client relationship as long as I am around.

I called to book and there was a small stumble finding my information but they called back in a timely manner with everything good to go. They only have the equipment for a hydra facial at the Guelph location, so they offered me a normal hydrating facial for the Waterloo location which I accepted. When I arrived, I was greeted warmly by the staff. It was just me and the nurse/aesthetician working on me so it was a very nice experience. The member of staff was very nice, friendly, and polite. She explained each step of the facial and answered each of my questions. They have a relaxing Spotify playlist playing through the treatment. Unfortunately, they don't have a premium account and the occasional ads took me out of the moment of relaxation but that's alright. They're also doing a great job with Covid and provide you with a stick-on disposable mask to keep on through your treatment. It was a wonderful experience!

I was however not treated very kindly and when I went in for my consultation to determine what treatment would work best, I met with a nurse who did the initial assessment and then passed me along to the doctor (I guess) who was insanely snobby, unpleasant, derogatory, and quite frankly just entirely unprofessional. She mentioned her suggestions for my skin and due to the cost being very high, the process being long, and the results affecting my FACE, I said I'd need to think about it and get back with my decision (as any normal person would be within their right to do). The doctor then gave the MOST DEROGATORY look i've ever seen, so so so unprofessional and said verbatim "is it because of the cost? is it too much for you?". How rude! I am willing to spend what is required to take care of myself but having to think about it doesnt mean you cant afford it - it just means you are trying to be responsible and determine whether or not the spend is worth it given that I dont have any serious skin concerns and objectively my skin is quite fine (which the nurse told me right before). I'm just trying to step it up a notch with my maintenance but wasn't sure if spending thousands of dollars was necessary. Anyway, I thought about it on my way out the door of the clinic and decided that even if it costed $1.00, their service was entirely undeserving of my money being spent there. Good luck getting new clients if that's how you treat people and if that's the taste they leave in people's mouths.
