I've tried coming here a few times but Tamara has gotten really busy over the months. This time I booked a month in advance for a Brazilian and half leg to ensure my spot. This was my first time sugaring, so I really didn't know what to expect. I just knew that it was supposed to hurt less than waxing. Guess what? That was absolutely true! I'm addicted. I love this method. It hurt way less and the results were instantly better than waxing. I was surprised with how many less ingrowns I saw on my leg. Usually after waxing I can still see some but with sugaring there were barely any! For those who are scared to get a Brazilian wax, a Brazilian sugar hurts way less! So defs try it out. And defs come to Tamara! I cannot find enough positive words to describe her! She is so friendly and makes you feel comfortable the whole time. She chats with you and there are never any awkward silences. She is just an all around genuine person. After my service she even gave me some samples and care products. So lovely! It is a little more pricey than someone working from home but I promise you it's so worth it. I never mind paying extra for a place that is CLEAN and efficient. Tamara's studio is pristine! The guy basicly tried to push 6 more sessions for $960 total!! I said I can't afford that & can't I just use the sessions on the voucher?? After that I book for their obligatory session of laser hair removal for my underarms. I'll see how that goes. If they do a half ass job of lasering, I'm complaining to the voucher company and asking for my money back. **Update** I went in for my first session and the technician was pleasant. She did the treatment as thoroughly as she could. Because of this girl's pleasantness I decided to purchase a chemical peel package from her. I don't care much for the management though. For cost of these treatments ($200 for a back chemical peel) I would've expected nicer rooms and professional grade products. Seeing Shopper's Drug Mart Life Brand products on their table was a bit of a turn off. I've worked in the salon/spa business and know that using unprofessional products and tools is unacceptable. In the future I think I'll just pay this kind of money at the spas. ***Update*** I've done 4 chemical peels on my back and haven't seen the results I was hoping for. At $180 a pop they sure don't do much to make the service worth it!! I'm in and out within 15 minutes flat and I doubt that is even remotely enough time for the peel to do its job. Thank god I took the chance! Now, I've been coming to Rupal for probably over 5 years! She has really transformed my eyebrows. Now, I can go a month without threading and there's barely any growth. They don't get bushy or anything. They just stay as the shape they're supposed to be! It takes time, but you will notice the difference. In the beginning, you will have to keep getting your eyebrows done every few weeks, but eventually, you will be able to go longer and longer without touching them. Rupal does not make your eyebrows overly thin like some places. She gets them to the most natural looking state for your face. I can't forget to mention how sweet and easy going she is! My experience was terrifying... I got a Brazilian wax (not for the first time, but this was my first experience at Rupal's) and Trusha waxed the same areas OVER and OVER again. After my appointment; there was still hair left, I was left with a burn/scab, and I was sore for days afterward. Towards the end of my appointment, Rupal appeared in the room and despite her soothing tone, I didn't feel comforted at all. She recommended other (more expensive) treatments and explained that my "type of hair" (I'm a black woman with coarse, curly hair) prevented Trusha from removing all of it. SOME NERVE! Again, this wasn't my first or last time getting a Brazilian wax and I haven't had these issues anywhere else. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place, especially to women with hair like mine.
