This is a pretty good mid-price gas station close to the 59 Eastex Highway where a lot of cops usually hang out - which I'm not really sure if that is a good thing or not but you can draw your own conclusions. Prices are usually somewhere in the middle (like Jimmy Eat World, but not like Maren Morris ew, ok fine around here it's very like Maren Morris ew) and they have restrooms, are open 24 hours, all kinds of stuff inside, some of which is unusual and fun, along with all the usual convenience store immunities. I mean amenities. If you want immunity from prosecution though - maybe speak to the cops that are perennially in here.

This is one of the better truck stops we've come across. The decor and overall atmosphere give it a unique feel that sets it apart from the big chain stops. Paid parking usually means the facilities are a step above, and that's definitely the case here. The property is well maintained, and it shows. A couple of minor issues kept it from being perfect. One of the washers was out of service during our visit, and the large pothole at the second entrance needs attention. Other than that, this is a great place to stop for a reset, a shower, a meal, or an overnight break. We'd happily stop here again.
