Brisket is always dry bland and tough and on more than one occasion its been soured like it was left over the weekend and served any way, The sausage- I have no idea what they are thinking, it is mushy and tastes just like some cheap sausage you would buy at Brookshires, its missing that firm texture us bbq guys want in our sausage just greasy mush (seems to have spent little if any time in the smoker). Like I said, something or somebody has changed in the last year or two, their passion to make good smoked Texas BBQ is just nonexistent. Tonight, I found out they have a small place in Avinger, TX right off Main Street/Hwy 49. Their pizza is so fresh, with amazing flavors to choose from. Our family likes the BBQ Beef and Onion pizza, along with the Spinach Chicken Alfredo pizza. Manicotti is also a favorite as well. Simply put, there is nothing this restaurant makes that is just simply delicious! If you are living in the Hwy 155/Hwy 49/FM 729 area, this place is for you. They do deliver to around Dalton's Corner, so what's not to like huh? The owners and staff are super friendly, and we are ecstatic that they are literally 10 minutes away now. HIGHLY recommended!

However, wouldn't you know it????? We get back to the room and are not in the least bit hungry!!!! But all was not lost. We brought our pizza and wings and heated them back up in our trusty air fryer and the food was good as new! We chose to order two of the 8" pizzas with one El Diablo and one Popeye. We also ordered 12 wings and chose General Tso and Jamaican Jerk sauces for the wings. Everything that we ordered was so good. I really like the idea of the 8" pizzas because it helps me with portion control. I am not sure why I ever think a 20" pizza should be split between two people; but I digress. Seems better to me to have two 8" pizzas with two flavors than having a larger pizza with half and half flavors. The service is counterservice but a sweet lady did actually bring our items to us where we were waiting so that was nice. I enjoyed the decor.

I had the chicken sandwich which was simple and delicious but the bread really stood out, crispy but pillowy soft and insubstantial in a way that balanced the sandwich really well without ruffing up the top of my mouth. The wings were some of the best I've ever had, crispy and they easily fell off the bone. Breadsticks were the cut flatbread style. Nicely crispy outside, soft and chewy inside. The pizza was really good, well cooked. We were full and the chef sent out some cheesecake that I had to tuck into. I felt welcome and cared for, this is a place every home town needs. Our server was genuinely friendly and attentive. Come here and you won't leave hungry or disappointed. It's a great bite and a great value and I'm looking forward to going back.
