I had a Hell of a time getting them to work and spent a bloody fortune with another firm ending up with one that did not work though it had been worked on numerous times. I hate to imagine how much I spent. I called Sandfly Locksmith and they sent a mechanic to look at it. HE FIXED THE DAMN LOCK on the first try and in half an hour. Most importantly, he fixed discreet shortcomings that required adjustment, parts (good luck finding 90 year old lock parts), and expertise. It required craftsmanship to remove some of the broken parts, but he did it with ingenuity and cleverness. The mechanic also fixed things that required a bit of smash mouth locksmithing. In the end, there were a handful of substantial faults that he corrected in half an hour. He did not just spray some WD-40 in there and say a prayer. I like to recommend vendors, craftsmen, and trades that produce results and I heartily recommend Sandfly Locksmith - Derek was their wizard. I was considering abandoning these beautiful old solid brass locks, and now I have the peace of mind they can work forever. Thank you and have a Happy New Year.

Long story but let's just say there was immediate need to get in the house!!! (No, it's not what you think). Called Seth Green, the owner who said he could be there within 45 minutes. And he was! He started his magic right away and resolved the issue by drilling out a lock, replacing with a new cylinder keyed to existing key, and cleaned up the mess. It was a pleasure to talk with him as he worked. Such a nice, honest, and fair guy! For an emergency call on a Sunday I was expecting a very high price. I was shocked how reasonable he was. As he mentioned, it's his business, been doing it for a while, and likes to treat people fairly. I think he does just that. His card is in my stack of preferred vendors. My wife & I just bought a house, so of course we wanted to get the locks rekeyed. Even more so, a…read morecouple of the doors only had push-button locks on the doorknobs rather than more secure deadbolt locks. I called Precision Entry last Friday and spoke with Kevin. He explained what brand of locks we needed based on what locks were already in the doors. He also suggested that we could save money by purchasing the locks and hardware ourselves and then having him install them. He also explained by line item what the individual and total charge would be so there wouldn't be any surprises. We set up an appointment for today, and Kevin kept me apprised throughout the morning as to what his schedule was and when he would be arriving.
