For £35, the price was right, but the room was lacking on a lot of points: no phone or alarm clock, freezing cold, a malfunctioning TV remote, and undignified canary-yellow bedding (well, that last one wasn't so bad). On the upside, there was a healthy slice of loch view from the French doors. The room was clean and the bathroom serviceable.
They also do not take credit cards, which I understand but still find egregiously inconvenient. It's not easy, or cheap, to get cash in some of these towns. Luckily, I had enough to cover it and not compromise my currency supply for the rest of the trip.
The breakfast was no great shakes either, and on top of everything else, there was no honey for the tea.
