Westmoreland Mall is a two-story indoor mall that contains roughly 150 businesses. It has some…read morevacant space, but it is mostly occupied with businesses and is definitely NOT a dying mall. The anchor stores are JCPenney, Macy's, and Dick's Sporting Goods. The many other stores in the mall offer a decent variety of clothing, shoes, accessories, home decor, cosmetics, electronics, toys, and more. Restaurants include a mixture of local and national: Applebee's, Charley's Philly Steaks, Chick-fil-A, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Chuck E. Cheese's, Edo Hibachi Steakhouse, HoneyBaked Ham, Longhorn Steakhouse, Mangia, Panda 8, Panera Bread, Pita Paul's Gyros, Sbarro, Stir Fry 88, etc. The mall also contains Live! Casino and an AMC movie theater. For years, I have shopped occasionally at this mall. The building is maintained, clean, and safe, and it has plenty of parking spaces outside. Not all of my favorite stores are here, but I always find at least some nice things to buy. My favorite stores here include Aerie, American Eagle Outfitters, Hallmark, LOFT, and The Sweet Bone Bakery.

Yes, there are some empty storefronts, but there are also exciting and fun new additions coming (like Dicks House of Sports). Aside from the standard retail giants, this location has some fun local options. They have a branch of Greenhouse Winery where you can sample wines and purchase by the bottle or glass and a new spirits store that carries a variety of tequilas and serves several different margaritas. The most unique feature is that there is a casino and events space that is a part of the mall. So there really is a little bit of everything. The mall has a small(ish) food court, but it is nice that there are those options. They seem to be doing a great job with maintenance as the escalators and elevators always seem to be in working order and the space is always bright and clean. They also don't seem to have the loitering problem other malls seem to have. There is plenty of parking all around the space and the parking lot is well maintained. If you want a mall experience that doesn't feel dead and dreadful, this is a great one to visit!

One usually doesn't know what they will find on each stop, but one is sure to leave with a bargain or two. World of Values has several locations with equally good buys, but this warehouse outlet is probably the largest, and even sells furniture , mattresses, and appliances. There is a huge wicker department, individual silk flowers and floral arrangements, rows of party supplies, pet products, office supplies and seasonal holiday decorations. You will also find a vast selection of reasonably-priced Steelers, Pirates, and Pens sports gear. Sometimes, my trips are quick in and out stops, and other times I find myself shopping for an hour or two, depending on the latest shipments and newly stocked items. This place reminds me of a chaotic Big Lots. I love Big Lots, but I was feeling overwhelmed here. I think Big Lots, at least the stores I go to, are relatively organized. This place is the epitome of a clutter and disarray. I usually thrive under a little pandemonium shopping but I couldn't do it here. I spent probably an hour wondering about just to leave short of a panic attack and with the solo purchase of a jump rope to do double Dutch in the parking lot while my mind returned to order.

Old Navy is not a store where I frequently shop, but I occasionally stop by to see what clothing styles are being offered. This particular Old Navy store is in Westmoreland Mall. As I browsed the racks and shelves of the store, I saw some styles of women's clothing that I liked, but they were mostly out of my size. I would not want to pay the regular prices, but the sale prices were OK. The employees did not greet much, but overall they did their jobs.

Food you have Chick Fil A (with a very efficient drive through system), Red Robin, Bob Evans, Chilis, Panera, Coldstone Creamery and more! For retail, there are giants like Walmart, Five Below, Ross but there are also smaller (but still chain) businesses like Lane Bryant, Game Stop, Rally House and Carters. There are several businesses that are in a "loop" in that there are blockages to getting onto the main "road" of the plaza. But, overall, the parking lots are well maintained and well marked. The one down side is that because it is so large, it can be hard to navigate. If you are looking for a specific business, GPS might take you to the vicinity and not the actual business.

Restaurants include Dunkin', Chick-fil-A, Red Robin, Arby's, Bob Evans, Chili's, Panera Bread, Starbucks, etcetera. I recently shopped at some of the stores. I easily found parking spaces for my vehicle near the stores, and I liked the stores' selection of merchandise. I think that this shopping center is a very good one for people who live nearby.
