I have to say that even though there are more stores leaving the mall in Johnstown, this is a nice…read morespot to stop in when you do come to the mall. That is if you like to look through products to find what you might need. As the name of this business is called, Rare Collectibles, this is like an antique store for every single collectible item you can think of. It can take a few times to go over this place with ease. There are so many items to look at that you will most definitely have missed an item on a prior visit. There are aisles, cases, and displays everywhere, all filed in no particular order. Take your time while here. There is no rush to make it through this store. There are a lot of local items here as well, so if you are looking for a local themed item, definitely come here.

So Rare Collectibles a lovely place to go where you can find some neat old stuff, but apparently…read morewhen it comes to keeping their word on things, they're not the right people to talk to. You see, I occasionally make calls to see if they changed their minds on their Baseball card policy (they only accept cards from the 1960s or earlier) but they haven't and won't anytime soon, fine, understandable. But then I thought of selling these Power Rangers trading cards, they don't accept those either, OK, that's cool. But here's the real kicker, I called them to see if they can take old video games, specifically ones for the Sega Genesis, and someone, I don't know if it was the owner or an employee, but someone on the phone "yes", so I go up there and I didn't have any high expectations or anything, I wasn't expecting a million dollars but I was expecting something, I go in, and he tells me, they don't take Genesis games. What. The. Hell. How do you just go back on your word like that? I don't know a lot about business, but with stores like this, I think your supposed to keep your word on these kind a things, not just change your mind out of left field. So yeah, after this experience, I can safely say I'm done with this store. And I hope this makes all of you change your mind about it too.

I absolutely adore this store! Yes, it is mainly a craft and project store, but if you are looking…read morefor anything to do creatively, then this is one awesome store for you!! I could spend HOURS in this place, just as some men prefer the rack of tools in Sears or Lowe's. At Walmart, you can get an average to small amount of craft/creative supplies and they are good quality. However, if you need ANY type of more in-depth supplies or ideas then the place for you is Michael's. The associates are always more than willing to help you out in any way possible. This is a good thing because they are really great at helping me to figure out just what it is that I want and/or need for my current creative streak. The associates are knowledgeable, the store is clean. The ONLY thing that I have noticed is that on a few occasions, an aisle or two was blocked by either one of those giant metal stairs things or stock before it has been put out. This is tricky for someone like me who is disabled. I would also note that they could definitely use one of those electric carts/scooters. Thanks, Michael's for a job well done!!

Here's the thing I don't understand about a store like this. It's a craft/hobby store, and solely…read morea craft/hobby store, and yet is still in business. I mean all the items that are in here can be bought elsewhere and for cheap. I'm just completely baffled by that. I guess a lot of people are crafty. This one is a big store, filled to the brim with all the art/craft/hobby supplies you could ever need. That being said, it kind of bored me while in here. I was kind of dragged into here. I did however use their facilities while here and must say they do a fine job maintaining them.
