They were selling little patches that said Boothbay Harbor Historical Society for some cause or other but ran out of shirts. They told me to buy a shirt and bring the patch to this place to have them sew it on. It started to sound complicated but they said that the people at the Harbor Embroidery were really nice. So I ended up going there and they were extremely nice. They said come back in a hour and the work would be done. Well We came back and all the patches and shirts were united.. He understood the difficulty we are having, and the "awkward" stage between independence and losing freedom to manage things himself with dementia and he credited the fee back to us. When I first contacted The Sewing Shop, I had already been in contact with several other shops that were too busy to take on my requested services. I had no idea my dress needed as much work as it did and they still took on the project even after I misled them saying I only needed a slight alteration. The cost of the alterations were a bit too expensive but you are paying for the quality of work and years worth of experience from this husband and wife couple! The only thing that happened with my dress was that the bustle kept breaking buttons off the back of my dress but I believe this was entirely tied to how heavy my train was and how much jumping around dancing I was doing.
