I attempted to get the door open, but I ended up using too much force and breaking the doorframe. Oops. I needed a solution fast. So I consulted the Yelp app, and indicated the work I needed exactly. After talking with several companies, the Great Deal Handyman provided the best quote. So I decided to hire him. He was able to come out a few days later. After taking a good look at the doorframe, he went straight to work. He fixed the doorframe and made it look brand new, as if I had never broken it in the first place. The whole job took less than 2 hours. This guy works well and efficiently. He's a pretty nice person as well. For home repairs, I recommend him.

I called the office and Denise said she was going to find out what happened and talk to the employee and call me back. She of course never did. I called back and she acted like we never spoke. Denise mentioned what the employee did was not really a big deal and she acted like I was wrong for even complaining about it. I guess if the managers is like this then I am not surprised the employees are the same way. I attached a picture of the kid who was harassing me at 7 pm at night. I was alone with my two little daughters while he did that. I ran the other way and took a picture of him and their truck so I can call later. Little did I know that the office would not care about what happened lol. What a joke this place is. By the way. Floor they did looks as bad as the people who did it.

They gave me an appointment with the templetor who never show up the first day. He finally came the next day. I gave him all the information of the design with pictures, he never reported them to the office. After over a month of negotiation about the price and the sqft he gave me a delivery date in October 14th. I confirmed 2 days before everything was ok. Robert told me I need to change everything because my slab was not big enough. They couldn't do the backsplash. The first template was 69sqft, I didn't change anything. Now he announced me the total was 94sqft because of the edge I picked. It didn't make any sense. I accepted the remove the backsplash in order to make it fit but I requested to have the leftover slab. They finally installed the island and countertop. They forgot to cut the cooktop. It was of the plan since day 1. They did a crack on the countertop. I requested bullnose edges only on the island, but they didn't respect the design and they did it even on the countertop. The edges are poorly done. They are not smooth at all. I'm so disappointed. It look old and ugly. It was a beautiful slab, solid rock, they just ruined it. Almost 2 months to get this kind of job, it's a shame. Of course I never got the leftover of my slab.

There was water everywhere, it hit me like a sledgehammer but within a few minutes, I regained my composure and realized I had a burst pipe. Once I found the burst pipe I immediately turned off the water from the main valve. I learned when my central AC went out, don't go to Home Depot first lol. Go to the commercial suppliers, they have parts and knowledge you'll never find at Home Depot or Lowes, so I trekked to Davie Plumbing up the street. Unfortunately, the dude working there Dano couldn't locate the repair parts I needed for my issue because the pipes are polyethylene which has been illegal to use in construction in the county since the early 90's I believe. So not many suppliers carry parts or repair items for that particular pipe. So dude told me to go to Home Depot, and said they definitely had the parts. He not only explained to me how to repair the pipe, but he also drew out a schematic of the parts I needed and how to put it together. I went to the Home Depot which oddly is in the same plaza and found the parts with absolutely no help what so ever from the DeVry grads that work there. I actually asked the front desk to send someone to plumbing, and when they arrived I asked the individual the questions and they said, " I don't know". Now this is the person who works in the plumbing section and they're clueless. Just to double-check that I bought the correct items I went back to Davie Plumbing. The Dude validated I bought the correct items, but he also explained in more detail how to fix my pipe with the items I bought. When I arrived home it took me about 15 minutes to fix my pipe, which saved me a few hundred bucks, and probably more since it would have been an after-hours plumbing call. Thanks, Davie Plumbing
