It's incredibly difficult to get an appointment and when I asked for a prescription for the Covid shot because it was required by the pharmacy I was going to get the shot at, I was told that I didn't need one by her office even though I included a screenshot from the pharmacy website saying that it was required.

I disputed charges with the lab, they called me back after some weeks went by and advised that they were told by the clinic to bill me for the test. I disputed again, then never heard back. After digging a bit, I learned that the the gentleman here is not a Dr. at all. He never said he was, but everyone was referring to him as Dr. when I met him and I did as well, assuming he was. This was never corrected by him to anyone, including me. So, he never said he was a Doc but he also didn't correct it when he was mistakenly called a Dr.

I arrived early so I'd have time to fill out new patient forms but everything moved fairly quickly and it didn't take long at all for me to see her. Not to make this too personal (but that's kind of what I do lol) but I've been waiting over a month to talk to someone new about anxiety and to get more information about more MILD anxiety meds. My last doctor was so pushy about things I did not want to take and so naturally it was a fear of mine it would happen again here, but Dr. Dawson actually fully answered the questions I still had about the meds I've been researching and interested in and ultimately we both agreed they'd be a good option for me to try. After meeting with her I also talked with a psychologist they have. I didn't make an appointment prior to meet with him but he was available and they asked if I'd like to so I figured why not. It's more laid back than a full on commitment to go to therapy which made made it more comfortable for me. Basically he just helped me gain a better understanding of anxiety and panic disorders and went over tips to deal with it, things like that. Obviously this is not specifically a mental health clinic but I think it's good to point out this place is ALSO really helpful when it comes to it, and overall it's just a very well rounded place with lots to offer. If you're considering Advantage Dental, please be aware that communication and insurance transparency seem to be serious issues. I hope they improve how they handle scheduling and patient communication in the future.
