They worked on Tapping a trouble some bolt and charged me $1200! When I picked the vehicle up I had 2 lights come on the dash. "Check engine" light and "service engine soon." 2 Separate lights that they even admitted that were not on when they started working on it! Now the vehicle randomly loses power and dies under idle. The mechanic argued with me that these were prior problems and would do nothing to provide me piece of mind of a new quote to fix the problem or work with me. Now I have a vehicle worse off than I brought it there. After the fact, the mechanic admitted to not being "an expert" on BMW's but they assured me the repair, would not cause such current problems. Now it took them 5 hours to tap a bolt for $700, without notifying me that there was complications. I use to be a regular to this shop, and I now encourage anyone to go elsewhere. Money is too valuable to be wasting it on con mechanics.

Because I was out of town, the repair was FREE he told me. I took the spare wheel off, but the repaired one, and I drove back home, 5 hours later. The brand is always better than independent garages.

They don't replace a bunch of things that don't need it. I recently (this fall) squired a new car and needed tires on it. When I went to Sullivan's in Brewer for tires I asked them to look it over. Sullivan's returned with a 2300.00 quote (not including the tires). I was discouraged and figured I should start doing some repairs over time, and brought it to mikes for its first repair. They called me at 1 pm that day, all fixed for less than 200.00. They also knew it was a new to me car but they didn't take advantage and only fixed what needed it. Don't expect a lot of phone conversation, these guys work. But leave them the car with a list of things and expect it to get done quickly without breaking you. If you want a car wash and a lot of side talk, go spend the extra 1000.00 at a dealership.
