Love me some Carolina barbecue, and Marty's certainly hits the spot. Drive thru looked packed but I dined in and parked in the auxilliary gravel lot. It was pretty packed but I got a table.

Super friendly service and a warm inviting atmosphere with table linens and seating that is nicely spaced to afford you more intimacy than most places. We shared a couple of the starters: Philly egg rolls and the spinach dip with fresh made pita chips. Both were excellent. We also had the chicken wrap, shrimp wrap, Cobb salad, and the chicken salad. All of the entrees were great. My favorite had to be the fresh cut and fried potato slices- whatever you order, don't miss those! It's a banquet hall and catering business but it does a very brisk brunch business and there were three groups there who were celebrating special occasions, so it can accommodate groups of various sizes pretty easily.

The folks here are not the friendliest, but I'm not here to make friends. We are new to the area…read moreand we've been there three times so we could get a good profile of their three major categories of offerings: pizza, subs, and pasta. For pizza, we tried one with red onions and olives, and a sausage pizza - excellent pizza, fantastic prices. Subs were inexpensive and delicious. Now to the sad part: pasta dishes. We had lasagna and manicotti, and neither of us were happy with our meal. There was a ridiculous amount of cheese and little flavor to the rest of the dish. The sauce was meh. I was raised on east coast Italian food (NY/NJ) and had Italian grandparents. Something is definitely missing with their pasta game. It is affordable and likely good enough for the neighborhood, but their pasta dishes disappointed. We will be back for sandwiches and pizza. They have a large dining room and a robust takeout business. Their prices do not break the bank. There were several large tables with happy families chowing down. Dudes at the counter: pretend like you want us here. Mumbling and rolling your eyes at customers is not welcoming. You should smile more! You'll wait a long time if you don't call and order ahead, so don't be dumb like us.

From over priced and under seasoned burgers, to cheese biscuits with 2 tiny cubes of hoop cheese inside, to finally ordering a chicken and cheese biscuit and being given hamburger buns and american cheese. I care deeply about supporting local business but that requires a business that puts effort and care into the products and services they render to deliver quality results. once is an honest mistake, twice can be bad luck but three times shows me that spotlight has glaring issues that need to be addressed. I hope they grow past the current issues and give elm city a quality grill. But for now, im out of chances to give them.

Nice service and good food!…read more Lived in the Wilson area for 6 years and seen this place all of the time but never went. Finally gave it a shot tonight and was impressed. Full disclosure: after ordering and waiting for our food I was reading the Yelp reviews and was feeling uneasy due to the number of recent negative reviews. We walked in expecting a sandwich shop but the place is arranged and themed more like a Chinese restaurant. We had to walk up to the counter and look at the menu to make sure we were in a place that made subs lol. They do and that's what we ordered. The wife ordered a steak sub with no Aggie sauce and no mayo. The cashier was friendly and welcoming. They made my wife's sandwich just the way she ordered it. I ordered the Italian all the way. Then I got the onion rings and she got the seasoned French Fries. Sandwiches are about the size of a Subway foot long. They're a little light on the meats but they were both toasted perfectly. The onion rings were just as good as the onion rings I get at the state fair. Not burned and overcooked but no raw uncooked onions either. The seasoned French fries were good as well. Will absolutely go back! Thanks Aggie's!

The onion rings some were burnt and they give you all of it. May go back and order large tea next time.
