I was nervous about contacting a home inspection service as we have just relocated to the area and didn't know who to contact or trust. Buying a home is a big decision and you want to ensure that your home inspector has all your bases covered. I called to shop around at different inspection services, and although this one was a bit more pricey than the others, it was totally worth it. I have relocated quite a bit over the past 7 years, and have lived in 5 different states. By far, this home inspection service leaves the others in the dust, hands down. Dean was on time, extremely thorough, and answered all of our questions from the very first phone call to the end of the inspection. They came out to the home we were purchasing on a Sunday with very little notice and left no stone unturned. Friendly, professional, and really top-notch service. I would highly recommend them to anyone. If you plan on attending an inspection with them all I can say is remember to pack a lunch - they are so thorough that the inspection takes about 3 hours, start to finish, for everything. BEST home inspection I could have EVER hoped for!!! I was very worried about making a move into a new home and within a 1/2 hour of Dean inspecting our potential new home, I turned to my real estate agent and said, "I am starting to feel better already." I felt VERY confident that Dean would continue to do a thorough job and find any issues that we may face as new home owners. Not only did he take his time to inspect everything, but he even went back in the house when we were about to leave to "double check" something. He definately did not rush the inspection!!! And he offered advice every step of the way as we followed him!!! If this home does not work for us, I will absolutely insist that Dean does any home inspections we have going forward! In addition, I talked to my cousin (a contractor) about Dean's findings to get some insight on cost to fix things. Our new home is not so large, other people might have rushed through and been on to the next job. I recently contracted BPG to inspect a home I am in contract to purchase. Dean Morekas was the home inspector from BPG that completed the home inspection. Dean was a true professional, he was polite and courteous to myself and the seller of the property. Dean was very methodical and detailed and he had a in depth understanding of the various components and mechanical integrity of the home. Dean was proactive in explaining hardware that was not familiar to me. The subject home, had a well, filtration and water softening system and he took the time to explain in simple terms how the system functioned and what I need to consider as the future home owner. We recently used BPG as first time home buyers for our inspection in Baltimore City. John Simansky was our inspector and he exceeded all of our expectations. As first time home buyers we were pretty apprehensive about the process as a whole and having little knowledge about maintenance or construction. were worried we would not really understand what was going on. John was extremely helpful in that he walked us through everything that he found, showed us exactly what he was looking at and explained what it was, the issue and what effects if would have. Dean had no idea as to my experience in home ownership or construction and just started at the beginning. This was my 4rth home inspection and in my 20's I built 2 custom homes( now 45). John Berry was our inspector for a house in Timonium and did a very thorough job. He inspected every nook and crany he could get to and gave us great advice on how to do some if the repairs ourselves and how much it might cost. He also gave us his card in case we had any questions now or in the future about all the repairs. Overall very knowledgable!
