I went to this BP station in desperation when my car basically started to act funny. The guy at the service center was kind enough to take a look at my car battery and told me it was at its last life, but that it wasn't necessary to replace it that instant. So, he decided to just clean off the cells of the battery and let me drive home.
A few days later, after having now and again issues with it, I drove out of my parking garage a few streets nearby the station, to get to work one morning and bam! it was like the little engine that couldn't. I seriously pressed the gas so hard and almost nothing happened. I was able to get the car to go about 10 mph and reach the station. I told them what happened and they said they would have to replace my battery and it would cost well over $100. I knew they were probably ripping me off, but I was desperate. I think the guy I spoke with should have persisted more and forced me to change my battery the first time I met him.
Anyway, an hour and a half later and I get a call to come pick up my car in the serious heat of the summer. I walked on over an paid them an arm and a leg and went to work a bit late. I'm grateful they took my car in and fixed it rather quickly, but I'm not grateful about paying so much money.
That incident wasn't so bad, so I let it slide. I keep going here on the occasion to pick up some gas. Usually it's ok, but onetime I accidentally went into the Full-Service lane in the freezing cold weather and started pumping gas myself. 5 minutes later while I'm freezing my ass off, some guy from the store comes out and tells me I'm in a full service lane and walks away to pump someone else. WTF dude! I'm sorry, but you could have come out when you saw me get out of my car. Instead the guy waited at least 5 minutes while I put my CC in, froze my ass off ,and waited for the pump to finish. The problem lies in the fact that he specifically said that Full Service charges you at least 10 cents more per gallon. Well jeez, at least give me a discount or something, since I pumped my own freakin gas. After that, I try not to use their stations anymore.
Gas at this BP is usually more expensive than the gas I can get by my work in Ferguson. But, what is really annoying is that they do not post their prices for the whole world to see on the street. Instead, you are forced to pull into the lane to decide if the price is right or not. That's not fair IMO.
Overall, the service is OK, but the people can be quite rude in the store. read more
