Kiss, U Gas good-bye and say Hello to, On The Run. Last year, U Gas was bought out by On The Run and finally this month all the signage and brand of gas has been switched over. The gas is no longer Phillips 66, it is now Mobil. The signage and retail products inside is now all On The Run. During the transition, I strayed and started going to the QT up the street. i quickly loss interest in their offerings and customer service and started to come back here. I am so glad that I did. It is actually better now then when it was U Gas and I really liked them. I've needed to grab an easy breakfast/lunch for work and have been impressed with the offerings from OTR. For quick and easy packaged food they're better then those at QT and what was previously offered by Gigi's at U Gas. Also, I enjoy your coffee way more. Customer service is cheerful. We were all sad that day we found out The Beehive Bowling Alley was going to close. We collectively wiped the tears of nostalgia away when years? decades? later it was torn down. Left in that lonely spot among the weeds, gravel and ghosts of physical education field trips past, were the roots of what would soon become known as the BEST GAS STATION IN AMERICA. From the ashes of a forgotten town, rises the phoenix of capitalism, industry, and progress...queue the trumpets...U GAS. If you haven't visited a U GAS before, please do. Things like QT will be a distant memory in your vocabulary, for at U GAS, you can grab mixers, liquors, beer (high and low brow) and even take a stroll through the Beer Cave. But no, the wonders do not stop there, there is an entire section of FOOD, FOOD that is made by REAL PEOPLE, not those mystery meals that get 'freshly' backed up into the store by a giant trailer with images of doughnuts on it. I've been known to bring a Gigi's plastic lunch box of food to work on several occasions, what is more perfect than for about 4 bucks, you get a sammich, chips, a side of fruit AND a pudding cup?!?!?! Tons of other food items, including my beloved CAR SNACK cups, and the best soda fountains you can find. And, if you are a gas pump purist, be not afraid. U GAS has the most modern pumps around, complete with COUPONS and a TEEVEE. Plus, the pump areas are HUGE AND BRIGHT, no one is going to get mowed down at U GAS...And, despite how awesome QT thinks it is, where are it's car washes? Where?!?!? Oh, that's right, they're all at each U GAS location. FOAMBRITE that bishes. And finally, in the good name of AMERICUH, it seems like the wonderful people at U GAS offer competitive pay and INSURANCE to full time workers and 2 weeks vacay to full and part time! And, if that wasn't enough, they offer TUITION reimbursement and a 401K. Why do I know this? As good or better than QuikTrip with the ability to receive 5 cents off per gallon when paying with cash. The gas prices are some of the lowest in town. The store is very clean and has a wide assortment of food and drinks. They carry a lot of beer and even hard alcohol. The food they carry is of the Gigi brand. They also carry local food products like Gus's pretzels at the counter. The people who work here are efficient and friendly. The bathrooms are clean as well. I'd recommend this gas station/convenience store if in the area. read more

OK, so its nice. But what happened to the gas pump coupons? They made me happy. Its the little things that count and get you through the work week. I enjoyed a free cup of coffee once in a while. I'm hoping they bring them back.. I do go out of my way to go and get cash so that I can save on the gas cost. Which, by the way is not the cheapest game in town anymore. I do realize its so you walk your butt into the building in hopes you will buy some Funyuns, magazine or some other item you didn't now you needed till you saw it. Now, I'm not some hillbilly that reviews gas stations. I live in the city, for chrissakes! But, because I live in the city, I'm unaccustomed to gas stations the size of airports. Well, we just got our first in that category and I'm impressed. I love that it's large enough that you don't have to wait to get gas because all the pumps are full. More importantly, I'm embarrassed to say, the convenient mart is a pretty fun shopping experience. They have it all - a big selection of booze with an entire walk-in beer case. They have pre-made sandwiches/salads/wraps that look every bit as good as something you'd get at the Schnucks or Dierbergs deli. For breakfast, you can get fresh donuts, sourdough breakfast sandwiches, etc. They have every darn kind of fountain drink that you could possibly want - including an Icee machine that you can fill with your own flavor choice (!) and some kind of ice cream shake machine. Unbelievably, they have some staples like a small selection of produce and an impressive selection of breads. They also have healthy car treats, packed in containers that fit into your cup holder. What haven't they thought of? The customer service is ridiculous too. You are always greeted by someone when you walk in. Do these people know that they work in a gas station? Every last one of them has been pleasant on every stop. So, here...I've gone and reviewed a gas station and gave it 5 stars. And I don't care because it's pretty freaking cool, as far as gas stations go. Welcome to South City! read more

More business should follow suit: 5 cents off each gallon, if you pay with cash. Why not give a cash discount? It saves the business the card fees and you walk away with a bit of a deal. read more

Very good gas mart, which I visited only because of yelp. If I were to chart the flow, it would look something like this: "John H. wakes up early" arrow to "John H. checks social media websites" arrow to "John H. notices for the 100th time that one of the only things on the news feed at this hour is Steven B. checking in at U-Gas" arrow to "John H., crossing neighborhoods, needs gasoline" arrow to "John H. remembers U-Gas, and decides to give it a try." I neither used the car wash nor shopped inside. But I did watch the little Chevrolet advertisement on my gas pump's video screen -- do you suppose some remote data base identified me as a Chevy owner? yeah, its a review on a gas station, but its one that I frequent on a regular basis. I go the extra distance to go here for gas, for their car wash and for the selection of goods they offer inside the convenience store. they have one of the best car washes, that leave my car shining and looking show room clean, and that certainly gets my vote! read more

This place is awesome. Looks brand new. Enormous selection of sodas and beverages in the cases, plus huge modern fountain soda machines, several coffee brewers, smoothies, etc. So many drinks it would be tough to decide. There's a few times in life you come across a gas station that really lives up to its expectations. Well that would be UGas. Not only was it just as described, but the gas was beyond and over as described. The store has plenty of snacks and drinks as well as oil and such. There is also a carwash which I used. Coming from Tx thru OK, well the old girl had picked up a lot of dust but she is squeaky clean now. This is not a bad store and conveniently located near the highway. If you are ever in the neighborhood, give it a try. You won't be disappointed! read more

This gas station is surprisingly clean and has a wide selection.

UGas is the best gas station I've ever been to. Best selection of alcohol, food and commonly needed things. And an amazing car wash, which is the only one I ever use now. read more

This situation happened in your Philips 66 U-Gas location address : 3225 Hampton Ave, St Louis, MO 63139 on July 4th.2014 at 4 PM. I live across the street from this station, literally my apartment is across the street from that station so me and my wife are always a frequent customers for your gas station in that location, we buy drinks, gas, toast breads, etc most of the days form their and most of the staff there they know us in person. Anyway on July 4th.2014 at 4 PM I went to grab a toast bread from there and on they way there I have an iPad for sale that I scheduled my buyer to meet at the gas station since its a secured place with cameras and there are always cops in the lot ( its not the first time I sell something in that lot ) but your manager ( didn't pick up his name, but he was in the 4 PM shift that day ) just came right away to the parking lot when I was showing the iPad to the buyer and he asked us to leave the lot in and he threatens that he is giving us 5 minutes to leave ( his lot) in a very hostile rude way and I showed him I am showing the iPad to the buyer. I sold the iPad and I apologized to the buyer and I went to talk to this manager and I explained him that all the staff there knows me and that I am not selling drugs ( wont make any sense selling drugs right infront of your camera/surveillance system ). Being a frequent customer who is living across the gas station and bearing all the noise of your car wash warning noise day and night I was expecting a better treatment than that rude way, and I was not expecting that this manager didn't even know me being a frequent for the past 3 years. I know this might be the rule against selling my iPad in the lot but there is always a nice discrete way than threatening us to leave in 5 minutes, that was too much rude. Apart from that manager I really like the staff their because they are nice and the place itself is very clean, however I am giving it only a 1 star due to this behavior from that manager.Thanks UPDATE: Got a call from the management 2 days after my complaint ( there was the 4th of July holiday) and they were nice and they did apologize for the extreme behavior of the manager.
