I have tried this place three times and every time I leave with a dirty car. This time they let me go through again because it didn't give me the ceramic wash and it did the second time but I still had soap all over my car when I got home and there's spots and streaks everywhere and still a little bit of bird poop. I have to say the woman that was helping everyone get through the car wash was very pleasant and nice to deal with. The car wash itself does not have anyone manning it instead there are signs that tell you to pull forward and when to put your car in neutral. This is the first time I've been to a car wash that does not have someone navigating you in it so I was a little nervous but I had no issues at all. The vacuum that I had must've just been so full or maybe had something stuck in it after the car wash because I did not have a very good suction. The only thing I would encourage the location to add are rags with spray on carts like I've seen at other car washes so people can wipe down the insides of their car without having to buy some thing from the vending machine. I think this is a nice bonus to add. read more

I also dont think it cleaned underneath my car. It previously snowed and i was trying to get the salt off. This is the easiest car wash to go through. Best car wash I've been through. Prices are very reasonable, lots of free vacuum stations if you pay for a car wash, pre-cleaning station for bugs and hard to get debris (self-clean). There happened to be a very helpful attendant manning the pay stations who helped me choose and pay. But even if he weren't there it's easy to navigate, there is a lot of large step-by-step signage. Once you get in the car wash itself, you drive in and put in neutral and the belts take you through the wash. Getting on the belt is very easy because they are wide - so no precision driving necessary to get onto a small conveyor belt like other washes. Again, lots of large signs and lights to navigate you through. Exit is easy because you exit on the side street soon back ups to get back on the road - very good lay out. The wash itself is a good quality clean all the way through-generous soap and thorough cleanse and dry. Equipment is clean and looks new. Free vacuum if you pay for a car wash, lots of vacuum stations, mat holds at each station to hold you mats as you wash them down. They even have an area we're you can pre-scrub your car (for bugs and other stuck on debris)- 3 car slots, again easy to drive into when you first turn into the car wash lot. read more

Follow the instructions after you pay with the attendant and you're on your way to a cleaner car. I didn't use the bug station and it turned out I should have. No bugs, but a few splotches of bird poop didn't come off my hood (I got the $16 wash, which is the highest level). With that said, my car looks super shiny and it was incredibly fast and easy! I'm pretty obsessive when it comes to the cleanliness of my car, so having a stellar carwash readily available is super important to me. The Waterway Express is so centrally located that it makes an in-and-out wash very easy to access. With the weather so nice, I wanted to get some of the salt off my car. I had planned to purchase a monthly membership so that I could stop in any time, but sadly their machines were down. But it actually worked in my favor because the very pleasant attendant working at the paystation gave me a free wash for the inconvenience! Talk about great customer service. Since this location is relatively new, it feels like the machinery inside is super efficient. I love that they have a conveyor belt to move your car along as opposed to the classic car wash rollers that you have to be guided onto. It made it super simple to drive my car in for its bath! I always appreciate car washes that install specialty lighting in their facility. Waterway Express had some blue lights that lit up the suds and made for a really fun experience. As with any car wash, I wish there was quadruple the amount of dryers at the end. I usually bring a towel so that I don't get water spots, but forgot one. So I'm giving Waterway Express four stars because I didn't get a spotless clean. Will definitely be back to purchase the monthly membership! read more

Everyone here was helpful and friendly!! I needed help with my tire pressure and when I came out of the wash abs parked to dry the car and clean up some bugs, one of the staff was ready with a handheld pump to assist with my tires. I went on a VERY long road trip just prior so had caught/sacrificed many bugs. I took full advantage of their bug prep station, complete with a sponge that requires much LESS elbow grease to scrub off the stick on bug guts baked on in the STL summer sun. Even with my Turtle Wax post-wash bug and tar remover and their treatments, which removed like 95% of the bugs (apologies for no before pic) they offered to swing the car through a second time, no charge. I took another pause at the bug prep station to wash down the remaining spots that were bothering me abs ran through one more time and practically perfect!!! Their car dryer also works like a charm; you're driving out spotless and spotless shiny! read more

I had a targeted ad on Facebook for a free wash. I have since been back because it was so fast to get in an out. I haven't had to wait in line for a wash, and for that I am lucky. Other reviewers mention that they were given a cloth to dry their car with as they were paying. I did not have an attendant near the pay machine, so no one handed me a drying cloth. It would have been nice since the dryers tend to leaver a few wet spots. There are free vacuums after you go through the wash. If possible, find a stall without another person parked next to you so that you can have your door all the way open. The vacuums are really good at sucking all that extra dog hair and dirt off the floor boards. I love car wash vacuums so much! They have entrances off of Kingshighway and Southwest for easy access no matter which way you are coming from. read more

At about 5:55pm Sept 15th a blond, white, male employee refused to let me enter my own car wash info into the kiosk at the Kingshighway/Southwest location in STL City. I told him three times, "I don't need help!" and each time he mocked me by repeating it back every time. So he understood what I was asking. When I said, "There's a global pandemic!" he refused to walk away and I demanded to be allowed to leave without buying a carwash. Why are their employees approaching customers' cars and getting in their faces in the middle of a global pandemic? And why aren't they wearing masks when they do so? Over 600,000 Americans are dead. What else do they need to hear? Spreading disease isn't a "service." And why are they ignoring clear, repeated customer statements that they don't need help? And why are they mocking customers who make that very reasonable request? Needless to say, I am never, EVER using this carwash again. Turned out fine after vacuuming that one of the gentlemen that worked there offered the second wash. Because of that I offered my extra monster drinks to them. After a rainy weekend, and a lot of driving I really needed to clean my car. I drive past the Waterway Express all of the time, so I decided to give it a try today. This car wash has everything you need to clean your from outside to the inside. If you are a bike rider like me take your bike rack off your car before you arrive because you will have to remove it to before you get your car washed. If you do not remove it you will hold up the line like I did. All of the instructions for what you need do while getting your car washed will be on your when you enter and leave the car wash. When you exit you can use the free vacuums to vacuum out the inside of your car. You also have a place to hang your floor mats to make the cleaning process easier. Towards where you excited the car wash you will have a station where you can wash your floor mats, and you will also see three vending machines. The one I used had cleaning products for your dashboard, windows, and tired. The other two had beverages, and air freshners. I will definitely be making another visit soon. read more

I asked the attendant if the car wash would get the mud on my tires off and he said that if I didn't he would send my car back through. i paid $15. Once I got through the wash I noticed my tires were still muddy and I called him over to look at it. He basically argued with me telling me that it was brake dust and that the car wash doesn't get that off. They refunded me my money but I just wanted to let people know to save their time and money. I've been going to this Water Way since I moved to the area. They do a fine job; it's good enough. Their other locations include a hand-dry, but this is just a blow dry. Well Jordon and mason last week were absolutely fantastic. It was a slower day, and where most kids would take this as an opportunity to kick their feet up. These guys seized this as a chance to help all of the customers, including myself. I was working on soaking my seats because only god knows how I got toothpaste ALL over my carpets when I looked back and saw mason cleaning my windows. Worst possible experience. Yelp says it's the best. Website makes all sorts of grand claims. It says they offer Wash & Vac, Full Service, Inside & Out etc and special pricing on Tuesdays. I drove across town during rush hour to have the car in tip-top shape for important passenger Wednesday morning. ALL LIES. They do exterior only washes if you are stupid enough to drive through their tunnel of whipping, swirling plastic brushes that would probably scratch the heck out of your vehicle. Totally misleading. I visited the South Kingshighway location on 1/21/21. No lines for the wash. After exiting the wash, I noticed my left wiper was gone. I pulled around and the attendant told me to wait while he went into the wash to get it. He retrieved it and attempted to put it back on but it was broken. He stood there in silence just looking at me. I took the broken wiper from him and still he said nothing. I went to get into my car and still crickets. It was odd that he had nothing to say. I finally said, "you don't get paid enough to care." At that point the attendant said, "I'm sorry that happened to you" and then nothing else. No offer to investigate what happened. (turns out it was the auto-wipe function) No suggestion of filing an official report. Nothing. I called back to speak to a manager but only got voicemail. I reported the incident to the corporate office. The next day I got a call from someone who claimed that I had demanded to be compensated for the damage. This is a total lie and fortunately the voicemail that I left is proof that I never asked for money. Beware. What a savior this place is for the St. Louis area! Especially south city.. its location is perfect. The equipment works great. The wash is on motor belts, so your wheels won't get scratched up. The vacuums are strong. Even when this place gets busy, the employees do a great job of keeping the flow, making sure nobody is doing a 100 year detail during rush hour. And they're all very friendly. They even give you a free microfiber towel and will always swap it out for a clean one when you visit. I have no garage, so I'm there almost every day. I work out of my car, so cleanliness is a big deal. Very grateful for this place, well worth the monthly membership. read more

The staff at this place was great! I hadn't driven my car for over a month due to work travel so my car was very dusty when I arrived. The staff let me know that if the car didn't look clean after the first run, I could run through the wash again for free. They also had free vacuums and "Bug prep" stations. The St. Louis location just had their soft opening and I went thru this morning. I have a black SUV with LOTS of bugs on the front grill and the wash did an excellent job. Once I parked at the free vacuum an attendant came over, looked over my vehicle and noticed a few bugs left. He said their bug station is not set up and apologized. He personally detailed my grill and headlights by hand. Now that is service! I immediately went online and purchased a monthly package because of their attention to detail. I have been to other Waterways where you get out and wait. I feel I had a much better wash and experience at the Express than any other location.
