I…read morenormally don't stop here for gas at all, because I usually prefer the cheaper options at either Wawa or RoFo. But, we had heard there was a deli inside that made amazing sandwiches, so we thought we'd give it a go. OMG. Amazing. Not only are they HUGE (we're talking a stack so tall, you have to squish it to even attempt to fit it in your mouth!), but fresh and delicious! From the stacked meat and cheese to the fresh toppings, this was an outstanding sandwich find! Yes, you'll pay a little more than your local sub shop, but the quality is unmatched. And honestly, you'll get two meals out of it, unless you're super hungry. Both my wife and I couldn't finish the subs we got, just a half each. So, there's a second meal for both of us! Definitely stoked to have finally found this deli in the area! We'll be back again soon!

Anyhow, today was my first time ever using their service station for a suspected leak in one of my car's tires. I went inside the mini store to ask if it could be seen today, preferably within that moment. The attendant was accepting and prompt with my request and told me to move my car around to one of the bays to be seen. I asked if appointments were generally required and he said they were but accepted my last minute request. A tech came out no later than 5 minutes of waiting in my car and inspected the entire tire for the problem. He brought out some tools, an air hose and within 10 minutes he came around to tell me that he found the nail causing the leak, patched it up, refilled the tire's PSI and charged me $10. All within a matter of minutes. I had originally scheduled an appointment to take my car to it's dealership to be seen but after my spouse reminded me of how long the wait could've been and how much I could've been charged, I cancelled the appointment and went locally to this respectful gas station shop. Honest work and people, more than reasonable pricing, and efficient work, all in a very timely manner. Thanks, Mobil of Bowie.

Handed the clerk a $20 and he said he could not make the change. I was a little surprised considering they sell lottery tickets. I said fine and asked for my $20 back. The clerk acted disgusted and peeled off the tickets anyway. Then in a totally disrespectful tone he said who uses $20's on Sundays? I said please just give me my money back. He refused since he had already peeled the tickets. Then he said, again in a nasty tone, "I am a gas station not a bank" I apologized and left. I try very hard to be respectful and kind in these challenging times. I cannot remember when someone talked to me like that. I also have done very few negative Yelp reviews since the start of the pandemic but this was just un called for.

The cold well (salad bar/refrigerated prep station) had thick, visible mold growing along the edges and interior surfaces--green-black patches, clearly not cleaned or sanitized recently. The area was filthy, with standing water, food debris, and an overall smell of damp rot. This is a high-risk zone for cross-contamination; mold spores, bacteria, or toxins could easily transfer to ready-to-eat foods like salads, fruits, or deli items. Customers are at real risk of foodborne illness.

I don't frequent this one in Gambrills but I can certainly understand the poor rating. Went in today for lunch and ordered a chicken burrito bowl and small chicken noodle soup. Usually the bowls are pretty decent but not today! The rice and bean were not cooked properly, they were hard in places. And the guy who made it didn't put on the chipotle sauce so it was very dry to eat. I think there was about a half a teaspoon of guacamole that I paid extra for. The chicken noodle soup was mostly broth. And to add insult to injury it was 15 dollars for subpar food. It is very difficult to find workers that care. Sooo disappointed with Wawa anymore.
