All of the sudden, our dashboard light starts flashing that we have low tire pressure. We pulled over to check out the damage, and found a hole the size of a dime in our front passenger side tire. Panic immediately set in. After a brief stop at the closest auto shop, we were directed to Jensons (and now we know why). And let me tell ya what, I have never had the type of quality, quick service as we found there. Fifteen minutes later, we were back on the road with a professionally patched tire that would take us to the promised land for a weekend that we hardly remember, but will never forget! I called Rick and…read moreexplained what happened. he said he could help me, but his wrecker was down, I had another outfit tow me to his shop, now it a small shop and he dropped everything to get to me, he was working on 2 other cars. long story short, he was able to get me back on the road in under 3 hours and the shop bill was for 1 hour total, Now when was the last time you had 3 hours of work done and only got charged for 1 hour. ?????? and i was told folks come from 20-40 miles away to have stuff worked on, even the guy who need his garden tractor worked on while I was there. took all of 5 mins and he was gone. . true it got a bunch of cars there, but hes a "good ol boy" and he the best deal around. I tried to get him into a picture for this post but he didn't want to. you can go to the big guy if you want. but you're gonna wish you would have gone here first. the price tag is so worth it.

I first met Vance when my truck decided to turn itself off and not start. Heller motors said they would tow it in to take a look at it. Vance miller showed up, was able to pick me up, and My Truck/Me to Heller Motors to have it looked at. It started right up for Heller Motors. They worked on it for over two hours but couldn't figure out what the issue was. They didn't find the problem and didn't fix it. They said I would just have to "let them know." I'm thinking, great, this will be a nice surprise for me to look forward to. Well today the big surprise happened. I was about a mile and a half north of Towanda heading back to Pontiac from Bloomington. Finding myself dead on the side of the freeway Vance was the first person that came to mind. I called and without hesitation Vance headed my way to rescue me from the sweatbox that my truck was becoming sitting out in that sun. Vance not only picked me and my truck up to drop off at Sam Lemon Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram in Bloomington but he took me to Enterprise rent a car up the road. They had nothing without reservation so he took me to the airport to check out Hertz, Avis, and National. No reservation, no cars. Vance then drove me back to Pontiac and dropped me off at my motel. You see, I am from out of town and that makes issues like this even harder because I am unfamiliar with the surroundings. Honestly, I wish I would have never met Vance because that would mean that my truck was in Tip-Top running order. However, I am glad that I met Vance because he was someone that not only picked me up and took my truck to where it needed to be but he was a local that I could bounce ideas off of and someone that could provide suggestions. As far as I'm concerned he went above and beyond the duties of a tow truck driver. In the end he didn't feel the need to stick it to me when it came to the bill. I hope that when somebody is in the need of a tow truck driver they go to Yelp to find their answer. Look no farther than Bernie's Towing and cross your fingers that Vance Miller is the person that picks you up.
