It was clean without trash and the receipt printer worked well. Inside, a huge selection of food and drink! Pizza, grilled roller meats, and surprising frozen yogurt machines with toppings. Brew-to-order coffee with an assortment of creamers and sweeteners. Beer and wine including a "beer cave" of cold ones. The restrooms were amazingly clean. It was unexpected. No papers on the floor, no spilled water on the counters, stocked toilet paper. Clean enough that my lady friend even mentioned how nice it was on that side! Five stars for a gas station? Yep!

On Fridays sometime Sat after work, I stop at this store around 11pm to fill up and buy a 6 pack of beer. This location is an easy stop on my way home however I dreed stopping at this location because the cashier always has an attitude. She never says anything even when I ask how her day is. Always aggressively shoving my purchase in a bag and blankly staring at me when I tell her good night. As if she is angry at the world. A week ago, I did my usual stop at this store except this time I did not purchase a pack of cigs. I quite 6 days earlier. I told this cashier "I will not be purchasing my usual cigs because I quite" She looked at me coldly and said "that beer your buying is going to kill you faster then the cigs" I disagreed with her. She snapped started yelling that her brother died of alcoholism and to get the H*LL out of her store. I know you're thinking there had to be more to the story for her to snap in the first place however there was not. I was upset but decided not to complain as she might be going through something. A week later I stopped to get my 6 pack. This same cashier advised I am not allowed in HER store and to leave. So, I did. This cashier is a loose cannon which Circle K needs to keep a close eye on.

This is Chevron station #52186. It's located on the west side of Georgia 400 at the highway's…read moreintersection with Settingdown Circle, next door to the 400 Flea Market. It's very close to Hampton Golf Village, which is why I chose to fill up here. In fact, the convenience store (Kwik Mart) has a golf shoe cleaner outside the entrance. I had to create the Yelp listing for this Chevron, which is kind of surprising considering this Chevron has been here since at least October 2007 according to Google Street View. This Chevron has eight standard pumps and then a separate pumping area for diesel; I believe off-road diesel only. The pumps were old and worn; probably could use refurbishment or replacement. The screens / prices were hard to read. Despite what the Chevron website said, the pumps here did not accept NFC (contactless) payment. Most of the pumps were either out of order / no gas or had a sign posted on them that said you couldn't pay outside, so you had to go inside to pay. I think there were only a couple pumps where you could actually pay outside with card. The paper towel dispensers were out of paper towels (usually never a problem at a chain like QT) and the gas prices were relatively expensive, but at least my receipt printed fine. This Chevron was offering GetUpside free cash back when I visited, but the amount was only $0.01 per gallon back. Better than nothing. If you're not familiar with or never used the GetUpside app before, it's a no-brainer for free cash back on gas, food, and other purchases. It's also nice to have if you hit up a bunch of different gas stations like I do. Use my invite code DANIEL66482 to get an extra $0.15 per gallon back the first time you use the app. There's no catch or gimmick, as far as I can tell, and I've been using the app regularly since summer 2020.

I mapped out my route and this Chevron was conveniently located on the way, at the northern terminus of Georgia 400 at US 19. This gas station sits right behind the sign at the large intersection that says: "Welcome to Lumpkin County. Dahlonega... It's Pure Gold." You can't miss it. This is one of the larger Chevron stations on this stretch. It has 12 pumps. Compare that to the Chevron at 5035 GA-400 in Cumming, less than 15 miles south, which has only eight pumps: https://www.yelp.com/biz/chevron-cumming-10. There are a couple more Chevron stations in between: 104 GA-400 in Dawsonville and 2030 GA-400 also in Dahlonega. Early on a Saturday afternoon, this Chevon was moderately busy. When I arrived, one of the workers was outside the Food Mart taking a smoke break. I used pump #6 and it was fine. The "Supreme" (premium) gas here was relatively expensive, but that's to be expected with Chevron. The pump worked fine and my receipt printed clearly. Chevron's website says this station accepts NFC payments, but that wasn't the case at the pump. I had to insert my card. Yes, I had to use a physical card! Just kidding, if you even get my lame joke (will anyone even read this far for a gas station review?). Anyway, this place didn't feel as tidy nor as well-kept as a QuikTrip or RaceTrac, but that was to be expected as well. QT and RaceTrac kind of set the standard there. In Georgia, outside of Costco, QT and RaceTrac are my preferred gas station brands. I'd only fill up here again if needed. This is Chevron station #301274. Like the Cumming location linked above, I had to create the Yelp listing for this one. Come on, Yelp, don't let Google beat you.
