Like everywhere in New Zealand, but still a pleasant surprise, they have a real espresso machine and make the coffee by hand. The store has a fairly small selection of food and beverages in coolers. As for the gas, there's are several pumps and no one seemed to have to wait. It's in the side of the road leaving the airport. It's right by treasure island mini golf, which is just before the butterfly garden, and is probably a useful stop for those who need to fill up before returning a rental car, and who may be hanging out at the activity places by the airport. I usually fill up 1-2 times a fortnight, depending on how much driving I do of course! They have many (petrol) pumps: stock diesel, 95 and 98 petroleum. The "On the Run" shop has a resident "Subway" and small coffee counter. They have most grocery items, beverages, car products, magazines all at premium price. Also there is a ATM inside. Bonus. First off, the family that run this place are fantastic. Always chipper, they never forget to ask how you day is going or if there is else they can help you with. I recently moved back home from overseas and they asked how long how I was back for. I couldn't believe they remembered me, it had been over a year! The icing on the cake though, is that they are just so god damn efficient. This might seem silly but when are running late it is really quite key. Literally, by the time you have pull up and get out of your car they have already unscrewed the petrol lid and are asking what you need. Not to mention, the minutes you save when you are already inside waiting to pay as soon as they put the petrol hose is back on the hook. It's efficiency at it's finest and I love it!
