A little bit pricy compared to elsewhere, but only to be expected by the airport. 5 stars for the super friendly staff and the surprisingly good flat white--I just wanted a quick coffee, but it turned out to be as good as many I'd had in New Zealand or anywhere, and better than some from actual coffee roasters. Like everywhere in New Zealand, but still a pleasant surprise, they have a real espresso machine and make the coffee by hand. The store has a fairly small selection of food and beverages in coolers.
As for the gas, there's are several pumps and no one seemed to have to wait. It's in the side of the road leaving the airport. It's right by treasure island mini golf, which is just before the butterfly garden, and is probably a useful stop for those who need to fill up before returning a rental car, and who may be hanging out at the activity places by the airport. There's plenty of parking at the gas station. read more
