Its the closest gas station to the Eisenhower expressway near Oak Park and Forest Park, and that to me means an automatic 5% surcharge on gas. Personally, I do not see why this place has only 3 stars. Well, maybe, the lottery lines mess up the experience for people needing to buy a soda pop or water on the inside. The lottery line can get 8 people deep pretty quickly, and the lottery buyers debate the cashier, so be sure to pay at the pump. Cheaper gas can be found at Costco, but one needs a membership that runs about $55.00USD.

Great day with my sister running errands downtown, at her house, then shopping in North Riverside…read moreat the neighborhood Costco. Such a joy to see all the Christmas decorations even though we haven't reached Halloween yet lol - still fun to see. This location is so much less hectic than my neighborhood Costco in Skokie. To be fair, I love my Costco, but I still can't deny my shock at finding near front-door parking and completely hassle-free, small checkout lines. My intention was to just pop in to purchase silicone freezer trays since they were half the price I paid for a two-pack of the "Souper Cubes" brand two-cup trays. Instead, I left with an awesome deal on a "MIU" brand five-pack for half the price: two 2-cup trays, two 1-cup trays, and one 1/2-cup tray! They are made of 100% pure platinum food-grade silicone and are completely healthy and toxic-chemical free - BPA-free, PVC-free, phthalate-free, and lead-free. Plus, they can be frozen or even heated in the oven up to 446°F! These trays are a literal Godsend if you like cooking large batches of soups, beans, or pastas to freeze for quick weekday dinners. The store was very clean and the service was great! The staff and customers were so sweet - they greeted and assisted me warmly, and I responded with equal kindness and the same friendly energy.

(Unsure about how it would fare as a percentage of income or anything nerdy like that.) seeing gas as high as $5.99 is not an uncommon sight at the moment. I was in Oak Park over the weekend and it seemed like a good idea to check since the suburbs are usually cheaper, and this was no exception. $5.22 per gallon may be the cheapest I've seen it in weeks. There may be a reason for that. I don't know about the quality of the gas, and perhaps I should have stopped at the Shell across the street that was 5¢ per gallon cheaper. But it's powered my car. This station is small, six pumps. It wasn't terribly busy when I was here.
