If you haven't figured it out, there's not many nice things in my neighborhood, so of course I am a big fan! The station is clean, well lit, has a sanitary looking mini dunkin donuts on the inside, cheap gas, and quick pumps. Seriously the gas here is about $0.10 less a gallon then the citgo at cali/division or north/kedzie. Fill up your gas guzzler here. Oh and apparently you can get a deeper discount if you opt to get your car washed here!

I pushed the regular gas button and when I was done I had been charged the premium. I immediately went into to talk to the attendant who intially said I was mistaken, then said I was lying. He walked away, went outside to the pump and there flipped a few switches, walked back in and said he fixed it and yelled that I was lying. When I asked to talk to the manager he said I would have to come back in a few days. I asked to have him call the manager so I could talk to the manager, he picked up the phone and after talking to the manager said I had to come back on Monday. All during this he was yelling at me and arguing. Avoid this place.

They also have a tiny building in the middle of the parking lot that someone stands in all of the time, not sure what that's about. [sidebar: fireworks occur in the Austin neighborhood nonstop from the start of Spring through the end of Summer.] We see two people inside the gas station shooting roman candle flares in all types of directions. At first glance it may seem ill advised to shoot fire in such close proximity to large amounts of highly flammable liquid, not so in the Austin neighborhood! In an optimal situation, the roman candle would have lit a fire, causing an explosion. Such an explosion would leave a massive crater where this gas station stands- a huge improvement for the Austin community! It should be noted that the people appeared to have the endorsement from the gas station manager as one stood halfway in the exterior door while shooting the roman candle fire balls. What a classless, senseless business being run at 5150 W. Chicago Ave.

Forgive me for not sharing a review on this gas station a while ago. There was not a page for it,…read moreand I did not think that I would ever return after my first visit, so I did not feel the need to create a business page after filling up my tank here. After dropping in for a second time, I realized that I will most likely visit a lot more when I'm in the area at Humboldt Park, which Humboldt Park sits directly across the street from this BP. My visits to this squeaky clean inner and outer gas station are mostly to pick up pre or post-run drinks after my workouts at Humboldt Park, because this gas station is the only place in the area that carries my replenishing needs. That option to fill up my tank, if my gas is low is there too, but that is rare because I have other stations near where I live. As for gas price its $3.39 per gallon which is 5-10 cents cheaper than some in this area, but who cares because it will just increase at some point in the future anyway. At least it's not $4.00, which I have seen some stations creeping close to that. Furthermore, if you are in need for a car wash, you have that option too, which would make your gas price 15 cents cheaper paying $3.24 per gallon. In response to a few reviews listed on Google, I have not had any issues here yet, thankfully! The clerks here have always treated me with respect despite others mentioning racism and encountering clerks who speak no English, which I have not encountered as well. I will end this review with my take on that, which is, it is all about how your carry yourself which reflects the way you will be treated by the public. So, with that said treat others with respect, and respect is what you will receive in return. Thomas Gouard
