It is so valuable to have someone to help you with your car who is more interested in correctly addressing a situation over racking up services. I think Anthony sees and values the long-term commitments and customer relationships he can build by being honest. Also, as a side note, it's not uncommon for men to talk down to me when they talk to me about my car. Anthony NEVER did that. He did not assume that I was ignorant and talked to me with respect. read more

Anthony is a great mechanic--he has a strong team working with him too. He is so good at what he does, honest and no-nonsense. (Side note: I enjoy his sardonic sense of humor.) Prices are fair as well. Also, the people answering the phone are always warm and professional. Great place! read more

I have always had very excellent service at colonial BP. Anthony is very honest, reliable, knowledgeable, and professional. The service is always done with attention to detail. I can trust that they will not encourage me to do any repair that is not really necessary. Very satisfied with them. read more

Anthony Nieuwstadt has been the service manager of this gas station/auto repair business for more than two decades. Under his leadership, his shop has worked on all my vehicles. The work is thorough, and professional. Anthony always goes way above and beyond to deliver excellent service. I am so grateful to be a longstanding, forever client. read more

Colonial BP gave me the best mechanical service I have ever had today! I am so impressed by the mechanic, Anthony, and the rest of the staff. I can't thank Anthony enough for going the extra mile on my mini van, but also explaining my vehicle's needs. This is now my ONLY mechanic shop that will be in my contacts! Thank you all so much! read more

I had a great experience at Colonial BP with unplanned service needed (no thanks to the City of Ann Arbor road conditions due to potholes!). Anthony was super accommodating not just once but three times. Staff at this location were all very customer friendly. Thanks so much! read more

While traveling to my son's home in Canton MI my gps failed. Fortunately I pulled into Colonial BP and the Manager and clerk were so helpful. They plugged in my phone to recharge it and I was able to call my son. The Manager drew me a map and the clerk suggested a new charging cord. It worked...both the map and the new cord. Many thanks to both of them for their help and kindness! read more

This station consistently has some of the highest gas prices around. Getting in and out is a challenge-you can't get straight in off the road, but need to go in the driveway of a shopping center, pull all the way around the station and enter from the back side. Then you exit a different way. Still, I have to give it a third star because they offer free air. And the people at the counter are friendly. I usually only come here when I need to check/fill the tires, but am still glad to have them around. read more

I work in the area and had my car brakes repaired during the work day. They did an excellent job on both front & rear brakes, also replaced blake fluid. Cost was comparable to other places I had an estimate for. They had also repaired a tire for me a few years back, again great job. Will go back for future car repairs as needed. read more

This is the highest priced gas around. I hate HAVING to stop there. I am conceding to be ripped off. Guys at the register are always nice.

I stop here at least once a week for friendly service...and the delicious homemade brownies, cookies and pretzels!

Anthony and his team are top notch. I can't say enough about the great experiences I've had with them over the past 5 years. I've called with questions about purchasing new cars or about the current car I'm driving. They are efficient, thorough, and very fair on price. I couldn't recommend highly enough. read more

The ABSOLUTE WORST! I am sitting here needing transmission fluid, and they are refusing to service my vehicle as they 'don't service H2's' even though they say they will service an Escalade or a Tahoe, which are the SAME VEHICLE! This would take 5 minutes to check! Thanks for making my day WAY harder you idiots. read more

My car took some damage from a heavy snow storm and a piece of my engine shielding was dragging on the road. I was able to bring my car in the same day I called, and the team had everything repaired within a couple of hours and at a very good price. I'm very pleased and thankful for the great service! read more

This place is a ripoff. They have a sign and state a national shortage of coins so they round everything up! A pack of Cigs is $9 here, one block away they are $7.77. Everything they do is a ripoff. Take care! Avoid at all costs! I would give them less than one star.. read more

I have been taking my car to Anthony since I bought it in 2005. He has always fixed the car in an accurate timely manner while explaining what needed to be done and how it was accomplished. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else. They use factory parts and charge way less than the dealer does. read more

I've been bringing my family's cars here since 1996 or so, and have never had reason to look elsewhere. Absolutely first-rate service! Incredibly honest. They've talked me out of doing work on cars on several occasions. Infinitely better quality work and prices than the local dealer. Anthony and Paul are great, and take the time to explain what they're going to do and why. My review would be even more glowing, except for concern it might make them even busier than they already are. read more

Excellent repair shop. I swear they can fix anything. I feel their work is honest, quick, and well done. I've been there for multiple fixes on my vehicle. They've even taken the time to fix the mistakes of other repair shops. Car always runs great afterwards. read more

Not sure where to begin and i dont want to make assumptions about what i think was going on but just let me say this. I arrived around 3pm and according to the site they do not close until 4. I pulled up and waited patiently for a few minutes, no acknowledgement. Meanwhile, the two mechanics were doing absolutely nothing, not working on any cars. I finally called out for help. The guy pretended as though he couldnt here me. He finally came to my car and I explained that the covering underneath my car came lose, and i simply needed it secured back on, this shouldnt take more than 10 minutes. He looks puzzled and then says, the other guy will be with me. I wait in my car, for another 10 minutes, again no acknowledgement. At this point, its obvious that i am being completely ignored. They literally were just walking around doing absolutely nothing. If they didnt want to work on my car they could have simply declined. I just drove off. Unprofessional. read more

I've taken our cars to them for many many years and Anthony and his team have always taken good care of them. I trust them to tell me what work needs to be done and they always do a great job at reasonable prices, and tell me when a certain service can wait until the next time. I always feel like they have my best interests at heart. They have fit me in when we had emergencies, and always a pleasure to work with. I recommend them highly. read more

I'm not going to comment on the price of gas here, but the one-star review below about the service is hogwash. I've taken my car here several times, and they always try their best to get me in right away even though I call at the last minute (or just show up). The mechanics here go way above and beyond, are friendly, and do top notch, honest, thorough work. They have done work on my tires, brakes, oil filter, and other things, and they always do a great job. They have even done some stop-gap work to hold me over without charging me anything. Also, the price is more reasonable than most other places I've gone, and they have 24-hour pickup, which is a huge advantage for me. I live in a neighborhood not too far from them, and a lot of my neighbors take their cars there. read more
