Gas in Ann Arbor is usually more expensive than in the surrounding smaller towns. However, when I…read morecan't avoid buying gas in A², I like to buy from this station. I came here on a rainy day to get a little gas and something to drink. The station attendant, apparently the owner, was very friendly. He apologized for not having a canopy over his gas pumps, especially on a day with such bad weather. He said he hoped to have one built soon, but the Ann Arbor City Council won't let him build one. More recently, I stopped there on a very, very cold day (0°F). As I began pumping gas, I noticed it was going very slowly. I stopped the flow and restarted, then checked to make sure the handle was fully engaged, but it made no difference. Then, an attendant ran out from the shop and told me that on very cold days runs very slow. The secret is to stop the flow for about ten seconds, then restart it. He demonstrated and it began running normally. I'm impressed that the attendants at this station are friendly and seem to be interested in helping their customers.

I swiped my speedy rewards card and the 24 cents and 11 cents standard roll back was shown for the gas price. However, when I inserted my credit card the price reset. She also said she couldn't get the 24 cents to "reappear" but said to pump the 25 gallons and contact Speedway to get your $6 owed to you. If you're actually reading this, i'll digress for a bit and tell you a brief story. One morning in the fall I drove up to this station to get gas on my way out of town. Some dirt-bag-frat-boy pulled up behind me in daddy's jeep and a dick-wad smirk on his face. Now, i'm getting gas, so I could give a you-know-what. The guy glances at me, then turns to go in the store. "What a jerk" I think. THEN I look over at the front bumper of his car.... big used condom just chilling on his license plate. That punk came back out and I just started laughing. You would have thought I was singing to a chimp with the way he was looking at me. Asshole drove off and i'm sure that thing is still on his bumper. Ah... good times, good times.
